Artificial Intelligence Eyes

The neighbors down the street are painting their van’s rear window with their participant number and letters for E4K in washable car chalk. I am walking around the block when I spotted them, and decide to stop and talk to them about the event. They ask me if I am going to do it when they notice me awkwardly standing near them. I say I am and tell them that I plan to clean up the beach. They like the idea but seem skeptical until I tell them I am recycling all the recyclables and donating the money I make from the cans to Random Acts. They seem impressed, and I am proud.
A little boy has been kidnapped by pirates. I row out to their ship in a little row boat, and enter the ship from the side. Once I am inside, the ship is an airship flying through the air hundreds of miles above the ground. I look around the wood-walled room that I’m in. To the right and left of me there are two open hatches to the outside, perfect for knocking enemies out of if I need to. I check all of the wooden crates and baskets that littler the place for the little boy. When I don’t find him, I go through one of two doors on the back wall and find another room full of boxes. I start to check through them when I spot a trap door on the floor that is painted to look like stairs, similar to something you’d see in a video game. I place my Sly-Cooper-style cane’s tip on the lock of the trap door and select ‘open’. The door pops open revealing the boy. I take the boy back to the first room, when a battle commences. The guards have figured out that I am here and have come to stop me from saving the boy. I place the kid in a box so that he’ll stay safe while I fight. I whack the enemies with my cane, sending them flying out the ship through the open side hatches. Finally when I’m done with all the little guys, the boss pirate shows up. It’s no easy task, but I do defeat him. I retrieve the boy and return to my safe house.
Now my mom falls asleep and has a reoccurring nightmare, one that she’s had for a very long time. In this nightmare she’s holding infant me and a small bunny in her arms. She’s on her knees in the middle of a field at night. Behind her a young girl appears. As soon as she appears in the dream, mom realizes that she’s having a nightmare and that what is happening isn’t real. Mom and the girl both have mirror eyes, like the ones in Oculus. Mom asks the girl what she is doing here. The girl ignores the question and asks her own, “Is this the dream you have every night?”
This girl is connect to me, the twenty-one year old me not the dream infant in my mother’s lap. Mom references to her as my “eyes”. I feel as though I lost my eyes, and this girl is the embodiment of the artificial intelligence in my robotic eyes. She has uploaded herself in my mom’s dream.
A bright light shines on my mom, progressing her reoccurring nightmare. She feels hopeless unless she can get her baby and bunny to rest their heads against hers, in a show of inferiority that will appease the light. In every version of this dream she’s never been able to do it, which ultimately angers the light into killing everyone. However, this time with my eyes there and my mom conscious of the fact she’s dreaming, she manages to do it. Eyes kneels down behind my mom and complies to the submissive head-leaning as well to appease the light.
Eyes feel cold, almost emotionless but not completely. Still, her actions aren’t of compassion but logic, logic with a touch of curiosity, maybe.
It’s clear that even with this act completed, the light isn’t happy- however this does buy them enough time to run. Eyes leads the way, and they end up in sewers. They reach some locked doors that need a sequence code to push the red buttons so the door will unlock. There’s one red button on the wall and one on the door.
“Hope you keep your memory when you’re not with my daughter,” Mom says, knowing that I would know the code.
Eyes has the code memorized from my memories. She pushes the one on the wall once, and the one on the door twice. The lights go green and they run on.
They come to a T. The way to the left seems like the obvious choice, but the not so obvious way to the left- which looks like a dead end but there’s an opening that hooks around the wall- is the correct way. Eyes goes first. They are walking on platforms that have both mines and lasers. The first one is easy, the next is lasered and Eyes barely makes the jump past it. Mom trips, almost falling into the disgusting acid yellow water. She catches her hands on the laser platform. [End]

Relative to Real Life~
Night of September 29th, 2014
Real-life characters: Mom, baby me.
Dream-created characters: Neighbors, little boy, pirate fiends, boss pirate, Eyes, bunny, light.
Real-life places: Street.
Dream-created places: Ship, safe house, field, sewers.
Different than real life: I don’t have robot eyes, my neighbors aren’t doing E4K- or at least I highly doubt they’ve even heard of it.
Reasons:
E4K = I’ve decided to, you guessed it, pick up trash off the beach for this years E4K. I’m very excited/nervous since this is my first year. E4K is Endure 4 Kindness, a fundraiser for Random Acts, if you didn’t know. Random Acts is a non-profit founded by Misha Collins, designed to help not only children in Haiti, but also random people in need of an act of goodwill. I’m not doing it any justice- Here’s a link to a video describing Random Acts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Zy11CjXF9w . And here’s a link to my E4K page: https://www.crowdrise.com/Endure4Kindness2014/fundraiser/zurastar . I’d love it if you donated through my campaign, all of your donation would go to a Random Acts to make someone’s life better, but no pressure!
Reoccurring: No.
Precognitive: No experiences yet.
