Gishwhes Instructor From Hell

Me and Bell go to this old house, and straight down to the basement where we can sign up for a scavenger hunt like Gishwhes. I’m super excited because Gishwhes is something that I’ve been dying to do. We’re a little late getting to the main room, where a woman with purple and black hair and punk clothing stands in the middle of a circle of chairs. Me and Bell find seats.
Apparently she had just got done explaining the seating arrangement for the concert that we’re about to go to. Each section of seats has a really off name like “Center field monkey fold”. I regret that we weren’t here to hear it all. She asks a few people and I figure that I can just repeat what they say or deduce what part of the seating they’re talking about by the titles. But it’s all so weird that I can’t figure out where any of the seats are just by their name.
The woman points at me and calls my full name.
“I’m sorry, me and my friend weren’t in here when you explained the seating, so I’m not sure…”
Her entire demeanor ignites. She looks beyond irritated as she strides over to me. She glares and says something along the lines of “maybe you shouldn’t have been late”. I try to explain our absence was due to the snowy weather outside and the long drive, plus we weren’t exactly sure we had the right building.
She stomps behind me before I can finish and slams a chair to my left that looks like it’s a mash of two log chairs. It’s incredibly ugly.
“If you want to address me again without my request to do so, you better be sitting in this chair,” she sneers. The chair feels like a shame chair, and at this moment I’ve decided I really, really do not like this woman. “And if you so much as look at my eyelashes again when you’re talking to me I’ll kick your ass, you insufferable idiot.”
I swallow and try to watch her as she reprimands me, trying not to be rude by looking down or closing my eyes. Since I can’t look at her blue, sparkle dusted eyelashes, I glance around her face, her now blue rose-styled hair, her lips, her shoulders. I don’t really know where to look so my eyes don’t land in one spot for to long. She goes on to speak similarly to Bell as she did me, but not as harshly.
She turns back to me and says, “Would you like the honor of licking my ass for the rest of this trip?”
Her demeaning and rude tease is enough to set me over the edge. I stand up and look her straight in the eyes. “Oh yes! I would love that!” I shoot straight back at her sarcastically enthusiastic, not allowing her to embarrass me. She sends me a deadly glare before turning away. I sit down for a second, just long enough to grab my backpack and for her to start talking to everyone again. I get up again and walk right through the middle of the circle, not giving two shits if I interrupt the woman. I go put my shoes on and grab my jacket from the mudroom, and then go back into the back room of the meeting room to grab my instrument. I pull my hunter-green case down from one of the shelves and make sure that I have the right instrument before I head for the front door the final time.
As I walk through the meeting room the last time, everyone is gone. Bell included. I don’t want to leave her because she got a ride with me and that would be shitty, but I figure she fits in here better than I and if she needs a ride once all the fun is over, she’ll call me. I stride out the front door, all of my pissed-off mood exposed as I almost run into a sprinter. She apologizes and I say something rude in return. Then I see more marathon runners coming up the sunny dirt road leading to this house. Now I realize, maybe the Gishwhes thing is upstairs instead of in the basement. Maybe all this time I thought that crazy haired woman was the Gishwhes representative leader but she could have been someone from something entirely different. I start back for the house with all intentions on going upstairs and seeing for myself if I simply had the wrong room, when a girl pulls me into the bushes to the left of the house.
I know her but not enough to call her a friend. She nods up to the gazebo that we’re creeping outside of, and I see Daenerys. I feel bad almost for ease-dropping, but not enough to make me leave. I want to know why she’s here, who she is, I just want to be close to her. Then she spots me, and commands me to come forward and fetch her water. She thinks I’m one of her subjects. I oblige, happy for the assumption and perfectly willing to fill the role.
Then I’m at one of her parties where Oberyn is trying to court me, but he is to forward for my taste. He’s relentless. [End]
