The Blue Monkeys

I’m at the craft with my granny and mom. Landra and her mother are also in the store. Landra’s mom stops me and tells me that I need to help Landra out. I was avoiding her if I could, hoping Landra wouldn’t recognize me, but now I can’t really do that. I end up talking to Landra, but I don’t figure out what she needs help with. We go our own ways in the store, and I walk down an isle that is just littered with wonderful things. I find a bracelet that I particularly like. It’s four layers of white lace and little white and purple beads. Then Adym pulls me over to the wall near the door and asks me if I would date him. I laugh and say, “I would if you asked me.” He gets real shy, trying to find the words. He’s just about to ask when Granny interrupts. I awkwardly leave Adym, slightly relieved because deep in my heart I don’t really want to be with him. I show Granny the bracelet I like, but now it’s broken and beads are falling off. I put it down on the glace counter to take a picture of it so I don’t forget what it looks like, but at this point there is one one strand left attached.
Everyone is about to leave, but I say I haven’t finished looking. I take one last look at the big wall. Mom almost buys a huge wooden yard decoration because I wanted part of it, a bunny basket crate. I subtly tell her we can’t afford it. She agrees. The big thing was $159, and a frog statue which was part of the bundle was $58.
Then, Landra says she’ll pay for ten of the trees I want to put in the back yard if I can help her find her missing locket. I see now what her mom wanted me to help her with. I go out to her black truck and look in the back of the center console. In the pocket, I find a tiny silver locket in the shape of an oval. It has a heart engraved into the cover. Inside, the left side is white, but the right is a picture of Anna. That picture turns into a fortune cookie slip. Landra’s dad, who is the driver seat, congratulates me for finding it. He says Landra even looked in the pocket and still missed it. He hopes it’s the right locket. I go show Landra, who is now four or five years old, and she says it is not the right locket. I’m pretty sure it’s the right one and she just doesn’t want to hold up on her end of the deal now, that or she doesn’t want to admit that she missed it when she looked in the same spot. I ask her what the shape of the locket is. When she won’t answer me as though she isn’t paying attention, I draw out a circle, a heart, and an oval. I tell her to point to which one the shape of the locket is. She points to and says a heart. I know she’s lying and saying heart because of the heart inscribed on the front of the locket I found.
Now I’ m climbing along a ledge in a green forest. It’s so high up, that me and my exploration crew are the first ones to ever be here. We have to blow darts to knock out the indigenous blue monkeys we come across. They are the ones that built this bridge-like ledge we walk on now, and also the tree houses scattered around. I knock out two. We knock them out so they won’t attack us and so we can study them up close and not be in danger. We make our way okay, but then I see a red monkey that looks almost half-man in the way it walks. It’s more powerful than the others. It’s the leader. I try to warn the others. We all run back to my aunt and uncle’s basement but when I get back I notice that my fiance is missing. I demand to know where he is. The jerk of the group tells me that he’s been captured by the monkey leader. I am irate, but I can do nothing but clean the living room area for the jerk because he and another brute are going to go after him and try and save my love, so I have to kiss their butts. They go down the hall to have a private conversation together, and I sneak after them to listen in. I hear the brute ask the jerk when he’s going to tell someone. The jerk asks, “Tell what?” The brute responds, “Tell someone about the macaroni apocalypse!” I knew this was code for letting my fiance get kidnapped. The jerk did this on purpose. He wanted a guy to see the inside of the monkey’s camp. He arranged the entire thing. I run upstairs and tell my aunt and uncle. [End]

Relative to Real Life~
Night of April 14th, 2014
Real-life characters: Mom, Granny, Landra, Adym, Anna, aunt, uncle.
Dream-created characters: Landra’s mom and dad, people helping us at craft store, group during the monkey exploration, jerk, brute, fiance.
Real-life places: Craft store, truck, aunt’s basement.
Dream-created places: Monkey forest.
Different than real life: The craft store isn’t really as big as it is in this dream, it doesn’t have a cool isle like the one I saw, I’ve never met Landra’s parents and I’m not absolutely sure she has both or either parents, I haven’t spoken to Landra for at least a year if not more, the truck is actually my grandpa’s, I don’t have a fiance or significant other, I’ve never used a blow dart.
Reoccurring: No.
Precognitive: (11-20-14) Yesterday I watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes for the first time. As soon as Caesar’s home was shown, I lost my breath and felt my eyes widen to the size of dinner plates. I recognized the bridge leading up to it from this dream- it’s identically structured to what I saw. Not only that, but the houses, the ape’s collection of homes in general, was incredibly similar to this dream. I know that monkeys and apes in a forest isn’t exactly ground-breaking, but /it wasn’t in the first movie/, which this dream was clearly branching from. I don’t even think the teaser trailers for the sequel were released until July, and this dream was a few months before that.
