Have You Theen See Agenvers?

I’m at the check out counter with my mom at the grocery store. It’s not technically a self check out, but the cashier is gone, so we do it ourselves. I accidentally ring up the peanut butter twice, so I have figure out the screen to delete one of them. When a guy walks up, the girl that is supposed to be our checker walks up. She tells me to wait so she can ring him up first. I let my stuff get pushed past the register. I have to hold it up on the counter to avoid letting the belt push it off onto the ground. He says he’s actually waiting for someone. In that case, because it’s more than one person, the girl says she’ll just stand back and watch. She leans back on the cash drawer and crosses her arms. Apparently she’s in training, and can only do check outs if there is only one person with items. The guy’s oriental girlfriend joins him, wearing a stray hat. Her sister, wearing a matching hat, isn’t far behind.
Now I’m at a Christmas party, sitting across from Travis. Large ice sculptures litter the tables along with elegantly stacked Crustal bowls. Chandeliers dangle above us. At first it’s awkward between us, but we end up flirting fluidly. I try to ask him if he’s seen The Avengers but it comes out all wrong, like, “Have you theen see Agenvers?” No matter how many times I try to say it the words get all garbled. He thinks it’s cute, anyway. We lean across the table, our heads close to each other and to the right, near a brick wall. Like we’re hiding from everyone else at this expensive Christmas party.
Suddenly we’re no longer leaning over a table, but crouching close to each other on a grassy dirt field, near a brick wall. No sooner than I try to look over my shoulder are we surrounded by indigenous people with spears poking into our backs, the stone tips digging into the bottom of my rib cage especially on my left side. They think we killed one of their people, who we kneel by now. [End]

Night of March 27th, 2014
Real-life characters: Mom, Travis.
Dream-created characters: Checker, guy behind us in line, his girlfriend, her sister, indigenous people.
Real-life places: Grocery store is similar to the store I go to.
Dream-created places: Christmas party.
Different than real life: I haven’t spoken to Travis since I graduated high school with him three years ago, I no longer have romantic feelings for Travis.
Reasons:
Pain in back on left side = I did a lot of yard work the day before this dream, which worked mostly my left side. I was sore in real life where I was stabbed in my dream.
