Jim Carry is Chasing Me

I am standing outside of a trailer home when two kids, whom lived in my aunt and uncle's house in the sky, fall down to Earth in lightning strikes. It scares me at first, but when I run over to them and see they are just children and they tell me that their lost in our world, I want to help them. They get in a little blue plane, and try to fly straight up in the air to get back to their planet or land they fell from. They keep falling back down, because the atmosphere will only allow the plane to go so far. I see a huge jet way far above us, almost the same color as the sky, fly over. Even that huge jet wouldn't make it where they need to go. When they land, I tell them they need a rocket.
I can't help them get a rocket. I tell them that I can feed them though, but all I can spare is dog food. They say the dog food is the food they want, and they turn into little puppies. I tell them that my dad will get really upset if he sees me wasting what little food we have on "strays" so I tell them to wait around the back of the trailer until I finish feeding my dogs. They agree. I fill up disposable pie pans with dog food and give them to Lily, Skye, and Boots. I then fill theirs up and set them on the ground out back. The girl, who now looks like a Beagle like Lily, is still in view from the door. I try to usher her back, but it's to late. Dad comes outside, and sees me trying to hide her. He becomes irate, and heads straight for them. I scream and rush forward. I latch onto his arm and refuse to let him get any closer. In that moment the most important thing to me is keeping the puppies safe, that's all that matters. He punches me with his free fist, slamming blows on my stomach multiple times and across my face, but I will not let go. I won't. One more hit to the face, however, and my grasp slips. He runs around the back of the trailer, but the kids are gone. He storms inside, very very angry. I plan to run away, I have to get away, before he takes out all his rage on me. Near tears, I run to the back yard, in the North West corner. On a close line, there are some papers hanging up. I used to leave notes here for my imaginary friend, pleading for him to come and save me. I climb up on a boulder under the line so I can reach it. My dad had since forbid me to ever hang another piece of paper on the line, and as finalization of his declaration, he hung up a paper in front of all of the others that read: "You are not real. Don't bother coming back." I take the paper that is behind his note, my last note of goodbye before my dad's rule. I turn around, ready now to run away, but he stands right behind me. I dash out into the street, calling out for Ike. It took me all this time to realize that my imaginary friend wasn't really imaginary, it was Ike all these years. I knew I looked crazy and being chased by my dad didn't help. I didn't care, though. I screamed Ike's name over and over, even though I knew he was states away. I run up a hill, now night time, and up to a show house that my mom, uncle, papa, and the rest of the family are in. I run inside. Dad is now Jim Carry. I try to keep the door closed behind me, but no matter how many times I turn the dead bolt the door won't stay locked. It's like he's got the key and just unlocks it every time I lock it up. Still, though, I manage to jam the door shut with my body, and he warns that he will be back. He leaves. I tell my family what is going on, as Granny cooks something in the kitchen and the kids play downstairs. I come up with a plan to dig a tunnel through the basement wall to escape. I see a flash out of the corner of my eye, and look out the kitchen window above the sink. There is a sky scraper next to the house, and through the glass of this building I see spies installing surveillance cameras. It is day again, and my little cousin Shelby runs outside. I'm afraid she'll tell someone our plan to dig a tunnel to get away without being seen, and if she does, our plan will be blown. I rush outside to get her, and find that everyone is leisurely out on the patio. They know they aren't safe, to my relief, but they're trying to act natural so the neighbors won't suspect anything. [End]
