I started on a very rocky trail in a very flat and arid setting trying to learn my way around a bike that was giving me troubles. After a time at this task I could sense the presence of another behind me, and uncertain at first, I merely tried to peek over my shoulder. In doing so I started communication, not by words, but by simply knowing... It was a bit awkward, but as with all dreams, this doesn't quite matter.
After getting a hang of the bike I followed her over a hill, and the scenery changes from the rocky pass to a amusement park in which I am at the top of a very steep slide. In the transition I lost my companion, and looking downward I assume this is where she set off. The focus now is completely on the slide in which I understand I'm supposed to ride down, and I do so only after balancing the situation in my mind and overcoming the fear that it entails--I can imagine going down, and it being far too fast, and that by the bottom of the slide I would be entangled in an irrecoverable scenario. This was too much for me at first, but I realized I was marooned on this island in the air, with the only option downward. Forcing myself over it, the slide proved to be incredibly slower than I imagined, and is completely manageable, and upon the landing where the slide meets the ground, I am transitioned again.
I am in front of a side building on top of the platform I descended from, and as I go inside I realize my companion has joined me again and is in the other room. From here it's understood that she is either 1) in distress and in need of help or 2) not in distress but still requiring help. The situation is that there is another person here as well, and the details are blurred from the moment I transition to the moment I am in conflict with this other man in a bloody and quite violent fight. This is unusual because this is only one of a handful of dreams in which after the initial moment of conflict arises, I recall the physical sensations and physical connection to actions like punching, and other such contact. I remember hanging through in suffocation maneuver that I felt if not carried through would cause due harm from him to the both of us, the cartilage of the nose breaking against my palms and the blood that resulted, and the companion from earlier yelling, or screaming rather.
I've been dealing with some incredibly harmful thoughts that have shown to be quite negative to me lately, and they had stuck with me for a day or two. After waking though, they've receded, and perhaps because I've realized that the only thing that was keeping me back in the first place, was the fear of my own inability to act.
