After All, You're My Wonderwall

09/16/11
Unfortunately large portions of the first sequence of this dream are missing. I couldn't jot down my thoughts fast enough after waking. All I remember of the beginning is me as a young boy, traveling around in an RV with my family. Somehow we get caught up in what I can only describe as a 1980s' private detective movie. A PI being played by either Sinbad or Tom Selleck, in one the trail of this drug cartel. With the bad guys rapidly becoming aware of his spying and trying to stop him.

It eventually leads to a stakeout in which the detective is left waiting in his van quite a while before business starts to pick up. Suddenly there's a chase scene in which the cars crash and he pursues the culprits on foot into a factory building. -He manages to take down one bad guy and collects evidence of a shady drug deal having in his hands a plastic bag with cocaine and a human finger. He places the bag in his pocket. Upon wrestling with and subduing the culprit he handcuffs him and tells him he's going away for a long time thanks to the evidence. Beside the two of them this whole time there's this pit of what looks like molten steel but which is ACTUALLY supposed to be a giant deep fryer. Apparently the baggie has fallen out of the detective's pocket and he is frantic and eventually breaks down emotionally in defeat to see that the baggie has fallen in the deep fryer and the evidence has been destroyed.

The next sequence is strange as it flashes to an image of a group of elderly woman, perhaps some men too. They are all by a pool in what looks like a retirement home. I see snow in the background but the temperature is quite warm. This old fashioned music comes on the radio and the woman start dancing. A dance of which I'm not sure I can describe. There's kinda of a limp going on and a winding of the arms like a wheel. I get the impression that for the average viewer this is meant to be comical but for me particularly I find it rather disturbing for some reason. All the ladies have very unreal smiles on their faces like the elderly couple in Mulholland Drive. Just thinking about this sequence really makes me uneasy? Their faces and behavior are rather freaky.

Next thing I know I'm waking up in the dream, we're in the RV. I'm asleep at the table and the tv's on. My dad is watching television. They're showing Star Trek: the Next Generation on tv. I'm a lil' groggy from having just woken up. My appearance has changed somewhat as I'm now a blonde in my adolescence and apparently we're touring the country so I can perform at concerts-

Apparently I am a child musician who specializes in alternative rock. It's an outdoor event with hundreds if not thousands of screaming fans as I come out on stage and start jamming on my acoustic. I've tried my best to recognize the song I hear myself singing in the dream and the nearest I can tell is it's Wonderwall by Oasis. Only the lyrics are completely my own. Seriously, I can CLEARLY remember myself singing this song myself with me making up the lyrics as I go along. The lyrics are completely random, but for some reason the song comes out GOOD! Better than good, the screaming girls at my feet are inspired and feeding off that energy. And the music comes straight from the depths of my soul.

After the song's over it switches to a special on MuchMusic where I'm being interviewed about where my music comes from and who my influences are? I tell them I'm not primarily a teeny bopper kinda rock star, some times I do classic metal. It cuts to a performance of me doing a Metallica number, can't remember which one, been going through them on YT but none of their singles seem to fit what I heard. -Then upon revealing my 'influences', I tell the VJ that I had a number of influences including Silverchair. An image of Frogstomp album cover is brief but I believe DELIBERATELY shown above my head. Followed by a brief glance at the camera from the VJ and me.
