Dream Symbols I've Successfully Decoded - First Entry

For this post, I thought I would do something different. Taking a break from all the symbols and questions that I 'haven't' solved in place of ones that I feel I have. Over time, and occasional examination and observation, and with a lil' help from some of my friends here (wink, wink) I believe I've been able to successful identify some of these common symbols that keep recurring in my nightly dreams. I thought I would take a moment to share some of what I got with y'all.

Below are, going on my own instincts, what I believe to be some of the correct interpretations of some of these symbols that keep popping into my dreams. Just basically through trial and error these past few months. I thought I would give everyone here an opportunity a chance to look and see what everybody thinks. Maybe I'm not going DEEP enough on some of these? My assessments might be premature:

"BOY" -- As pointed out to me by several readers on here, there is a young boy character that pursues me from time to time in my dreams and it usually feels somewhat random or by accident that I come across him, now that I've found out his identity. Trying to 'lure' him out 'deliberately' is proving to be tougher than I thought it was going to be? But this blonde haired blue eyed child (looks sometimes alter depending on the scenario) is who I've lately come to identify as my inner child or childlike essence. Before I have met him, through him pretending to be my younger brother or cousin in a dream scenario, with me feeling like I've known him all my life in the dream, only to wake up wondering "who the thunder was that?" At first I perceived this to be a separate entity to me, some sort of 'guide' who was helping me, cheering me up when I was feeling moody or depressed, when he often plays my little brother, he introduces himself by walking up to me and hugging me - and act of expression that I'm not used to in my family, we're not a family of 'huggers'...

"DETECTIVE" -- It took me a while to get this one, and I actually just had the "eureka" moment the other night here. My folks watch a lot of "Law & Order" on tv (the name itself speaks of something 'deeper' meaning also now that I think about it) and as a result I often have dreams involving some of the fictional homicide and sex crimes detectives from those shows play out in some of my dream scenarios, and I originally took this to be something rather arbitrary and trivial till I started thinking more about it. It should be so obvious, what are 'detectives' but people who seek 'mysteries'. As in the Greater Mysteries of Life. Once I had this breakthrough in understanding, it suddenly started putting some of those past 'detective related' dreams I've had over the years into greater perspective...

"SPIDER" -- This one's actually pretty tricky, and can be misleading. Don't laugh, but I've actually had to deal with an embarrassing childhood phobia of spiders my whole damn life. I've always taken the presence of one in one of my dreams to originally mean something 'sinister' or 'negative', but it's actually not ANYTHING like how it looks if I'm to take this correctly. The last two dreams that I have found myself swatting a spider to death I noticed something upon later reflection. See, I happen to in real life sleep with a mail ordered Native American dreamcatcher over my bed (I believe it's authentic made, comes from a small enterprise somewhere here close by in Canada) and this is usually the location by which I always see these arachnids coming down from the ceiling every time on a silk string. From what I've been told about the way authentic dreamcatchers work is that negative energies are supposed to be drawn at night to the crystal center of the device only to be caught by the webbing and incinerated by day's first light the following morning. All the positive energies that get caught by the device's webbing usually 'oozes' down the bottom to drip from the tips of the decorative feathers hanging on the bottom to fall on the unconscious dreamer below. And I have my dreamcatcher situated so that it hangs exactly above where I rest my head on my pillow every night. Therefore I took this dream's meaning to signify that "certain information will be [psychically] coming to me, and there's a chance I'm not gonna like what I hear at first, but don't freak out cause it's ultimately for my benefit..."

"DOGS" -- Through "painfully stubborn" trial and error investigative inquiry I've come to find that a dog's influence on one of my dreams usually depends on my own perspective and I have a hunch is reflected by my actions in the waking world? The last time I had a divine encounter with a teacher spirit in one of my dreams (I think it was by Margaret) she told me when I was looking at all the people in the park and understanding there seemingly random actions there - being, I found, to be not the slightest bit random at all - actually all depended on me. I was controlling these peoples' actions with my mind and the same thing with even the animals. And when I questioned Margaret on this, telepathically, before I even finished my though she responded 'rapid fire' "yes Tyler, they are all here for your benefit." Somehow, even though this was never expressed out loud, I couldn't shake the feeling, not even to this day, that this has a lot more to do with than just what's in my dreams. But perhaps it reflects the Waking World as well. I take walks around town everyday and because I'm naturally timid toward big dogs that bark uncontrollably at me, I've naturally been chased by the occasional dog or two and this has made me somewhat apprehensive. I usually try to avoid routes with dogs on them but in my town 'good luck finding one'. They're everywhere! And what's more, dog owners somehow seem to know instinctually every time I'm out on my walks, even if I don't keep the same time every day. How do they know? But somehow I've been getting the feeling lately, dogs are placed in my path every day purely by chance or accident. Everything's ultimately a 'test'. It's integrative work for me to do. I've had a dream before in which I met a big white haired dog along my path on one of my walks, and to my surprise he was all friendly and everything. But I wasn't taking any chances and began walking slowly away. No sooner did I turn my back to the dog did his hair change colors, from all white to all 'black', and he was now mean, and the faster I ran away the more he started to change! Dogs are a 'challenge' for me, a test of bravery. Aside from the ones who seem to act as companion spirits to mean on occasion.

"PARK" -- This seems to be some sort of 'neutral' zone for me and occurs as if feeling at some sort of 'center' of something. I feel as though it's like the 'center' of me. Some place I can go to in my dreams that's meant to be peaceful and stress-reducing. Though dilemmas do tend to happen here expectantly on occasion, I feel it's generally considered more as a "place to think". Figure stuff out, that sort of thing. Can't figure stuff out if you aren't willing to take a piece of the problem with you to study it?

"EAGLE FEATHERS" -- This is another occasional teacher spirit I run into from time to time in my dream encounters. He has no name that I know of, I simply refer to him lately as 'Eagle Feathers' cause the last few times I've encountered him he doesn't even seem to possess a physical form, and instead only a voice in my head. One dream all I got to see of him was a stick, like a shaman's staff of some kind, it was decorated with what I believed to be 'eagle feathers'. He doesn't show up very often. This is what I was like to call a 'no-nonsense' type of spirit in that he doesn't joke around with me, has more of a serious demeanor, doesn't sugar-coat things, and doesn't seem to belong to me specifically. I get the impression that his time is limited and precious. When he comes to see me it's too impart important wisdom. Something he needs me to learn, and believes I'm responsible enough now to handle the message. Though I must admit some of the lessons go a bit 'over my head' when I first get them...

"COINS" -- Thanks to blueopposum I've managed to get this one now and believe the information fits. Whenever I get dreams involving me discovering a bunch of change at my feet it's to literally let me know, a wake up call of sorts, that I have more "common sense" than this, and I should really use it. And the fact that my change supply always seems to consist of 'pennies' more than any other coin I believe has something to do with good luck. Perhaps 'instinctual' good luck. To have a gut feeling about something and have it turn out to be right?

"FLASHLIGHT/LANTERN" -- A bunch of my dreams have me poking around investigating in the dark. It's like 99% of the houses I find myself in in most of my dreams the owners seem to have forgot to pay their electric bill. But in each instance I notice I happen to have been given something to carry with me in these circumstances, to "light my way", making sure no situation is truly ever pitch black. I take this to represent my 'Inner Light'. I hear a lot of people talk about this in discussion circles so I'll leave it at that as most people reading probably know what I'm referring to anyway.

"WIND" -- Bluopposum recently helped me out with this one also, as it recently became relevant again I chose to include it before I go. I recently had a dream the other night where I felt an extreme gust of wind on my face just before I woke up. Having the wind blowing outside before I went to bed I naturally assumed it to be the weather picking up outside and almost got up to go close the window. Except, the clouds had formed overhead and I noticed there was not a fraction of wind to be felt anywhere, the air was completely still. Yet I could still feel the pressure on my face when I opened my eyes. This I take it to mean that dramatic changes are coming my way. It's always healthier to go 'with' the current than against it!
