I'm not quite sure who my friends are at the beginning of the dream? We look to the sky and see these dark menacing almost navy green clouds overhead. I think anyway - it's hard to really get a clear look. A type of wind unlike anything I've ever seen. Powerful and destructive, able to lift bystanders up into the air. Everyone at first seems fascinated - almost 'playing' with the wind (I don't quite know how to explain what I mean by that.) Mostly though we're all just curious as to what the hell it even is? It seems so out of place almost as if to come out of one dream and into another?
But the destructive force is distinct and one by one people kept getting swept up in the wind and are dashing for cover. That's mostly why I haven't gotten a clear view of the thing, my vision is so erratic from trying to run my ass to safety in a hurry. It's commonly believed amongst all us talking that once you get taken up in the wind that's virtually the end. This wind has been blowing day and night and doesn't seem to show any signs of stopping. To quote 1996's "Twister" here - "It's the finger of God."
There's something very ominous and omnipresent about this massive gale force wind storm surrounding everything. I can't remember much about who's with us right now, there's people around me but mostly I recall my family and a friend of ours, a dark shaggy haired woman who's face I can't see much of, very mysterious. -Eventually we make it to my house, we're under the carport for protection, I mostly stay in the middle, I don't wanna get swept up and don't really know what else I can provide to the situation.
Really heartbreaking, some of my cats get caught in the storm and get taken up in the sky. There's nothing I can do. Just as awful a big gust hits us and almost as if an invisible giant hand were to do it itself my parents and the dark haired woman get taken up in the sky and my and my bro are left orphans I suppose. The whole thing is so fast and sudden, it's hard to react to the situation. I can't recall if I cry or not. Everything fades out, I lose consciousness.
When I wake up it's the next morning and the winds have calmed down a bit, the carport has been enclosed, the others have been working tirelessly this whole time. I narrate in voice over somehow, I hear my own voice commenting on what happens next. Apparently while I was asleep my dad who is lying passed out beside me on the steps has somehow miraculously returned to us. He's just - 'back' and it seems impossible cause as far as everyone is concerned - the wind is supposed to be "permanent"?! -I say in voice over that I later gather from the others - all I was told was that _____ brought my Dad back with her! The dark brunette I mentioned. I'm not a hundred percent sure what name I heard but upon reflection when I'm awake I swear I thought I heard "Margaret". (Name of my spirit guide.)
Later as I'm looking the place over I suppose my Dad has regained consciousness and is sitting around talking or telling stories, I can't really remember much of the dialogue. Something else catches my attention. I look up at one of the doors to the carport behind my Dad and there is my Dad apparently going out to walk around outside in the midst of the windstorm, the workaholic that he is, and my Mom traipsing behind him trying to bring him back in.
Well now wait, if that's my Dad then 'who's this'? There can't be two of my Dad can there? I squint and take a closer look at the old man telling the story and almost as if I can feel my analytical mind beginning to quick in and try and make sense of the situation I arrive at the conclusion that "oh I see, this must be Uncle Randy?"...
