BELIEVE.

A real strange one. Short - but peculiar none the less. I only say short cause this was a particular occasion in which I found myself falling back to sleep after waking up prematurely. The original dream seemed so interesting I swore there was no way I was gonna forget it when I woke up the first time. --So guess what happened?...

The original dream involved two different intersecting stories, that seemed so interesting in the dream, but I'm sure once I write it all down it might sound a lil' vague. But I'm sure significant none the less or my subconscious wouldn't have recalled it. If anyone reading is willing to tell me what they think this might mean for me, I'm open to suggestions?:

The original involves a story of two brothers, the youngest being a lil' boy who I guess I'm playing in the dream. And there's a father, widowed, small town policeman or sheriff or whatever. He's involving himself in a Native American woman, anthropologist or some sort. At first it's just part of an investigation but then they really hit it off, and by the end of the sequence it looks like they have plans to get married.

The youngest boy is STRANGE compared to the older. The older seems rather grounded and skeptical. But the youngest is deeply involved in the supernatural and ancient religious customs. He's doing extensive research into ancient Native American and Aborigine beliefs and practices, and spends a lot of time reading and doing research at the library. He's accumulated a VAST expanded knowledge of the spirit world and the hidden dimensions, ect. --With the irony being that the Native American woman has recently found anthropological evidence (I'm guessing something to do with the Ancient Astronaut theory, but from more a disillusioned perspective) that pretty much shatters her last remaining shred of clinging on to her ancestors beliefs. In other words, she completely turns her back on her spiritual beliefs and becomes an atheist. -The irony being that the young boy has now become more of a Native American than the Pro. herself?

I'm sure there must have been something going on leading up to the ending, I just can't recall anything but the last two scenes where the father sits the two sons down and talks to them about him and the Pro. getting married. Oddly the boys are unaffected by their father's decision, however, it's only when the Pro. reveals her new found skepticism that the young son FLIES OFF THE HANDLE! -He can't accept that this woman would so easily be willing to denounce spirituality and the existence of religious philosophy and life after death and all that (this includes clairvoyance) and ends up verbally lashing out at the Pro. I believe I remember his last words being something a long the lines of "you're a disgrace to your peoples' legacy and all their hard work" or something like "you're ancestors would be ashamed of you" something along those lines?

The Pro. is deeply affected by the young boy's emotional outburst and words of conviction after he storms out of the room. But nothing seems to be able to shake her firm belief that there just plain is no firm evidence to support the existence of these Higher dimensions and/or a spirit world? --Later on in when she's alone in her study however - the Professor is going over some things late at night. The words of that young boy still ringing on the tip of her mind. When out of curiosity she picks up an artifact. Can't tell whether or not this is actually what she's holding but I definitely see a brief flash of a dreamcatcher, like the kind I have hanging over my bed. And there's a wind that comes out of nowhere and can't be explained - and with it the Professor is giving a psychic vision of the future. I can't really see what it is she actually sees if anything. I mostly just FEEL information being downloaded into her brain, like someone or something is just FEEDING it to her? -The Pro. is overwhelmed by the sensation she feels after this happens to her...
