I woke up into a restaurant lined with people at a bar. The food was eggs with a green pesto sauce. There is a mother and son sitting next to me talking in Thai and English, nothing really interesting but what caught my eye was a bunch of VHS tapes of horror anime movies the boy had along with an intricate set of chop sticks that must have numbered close to 30. They were all arranged perfectly. The son was very interesting looking, a beautiful mix of white and asian. We continued to eat until we were full and decided to leave. The chef seemed upset at this decision and scolded us for it. Regardless, Nick, an unidentified friend and i decided to go for a hike. We were suddenly at the end of this trail, opening up to hills with tons of chair lifts, made completely from wood, running at high speed. Houses dot the hill in mass numbers and families ride the lifts home. I turn around to see Duke and friends skating down the hill at high speed performing arial maneuvers. I tell the others and we watch, then decide to go back the trail. The beach sounds nice. Knowing it is winter in Portland (in waking reality) i have the strong desire to be in the warm waters of Thailand. We proceed to walk back the dangerous trail filled with holes and steep cliffs. I become aware that i may be dreaming, and if i am how can i keep this dream going? I have a strong desire to be submerged in the tropical waters. Yet as i become more and more lucid i begin slipping from the dream reality. I realize now in waking reality how lucid i was before i attempted to become fully lucid. I was sensing more, except taste. I could feel the wind, smell the dirt and experience the toll the trail was taking on my body. I desired the water as an end goal to the trail. I have not had such a lucid dream in quite a while.
