I had this dream recently...
I was sitting in my room at my new house, which is the closest to a temple that I have ever lived in. I was in my room, on a beautiful mat, sitting lotus position on a meditation pillow, with all of my most sacred belongings and relics shrined around me. Candles were lit and incense was burning.
Out of nowhere, as if they appeared out of the fabric of the cosmos, like smoke, monks surrounded me. They were adorned in the most beautiful sacred patterns and they all had their hands together and were praying for me. I followed my breath and felt love in my heart, when all of a sudden, this beautiful music started playing. From above me, this light being that had this ancient grandfather monk vibe floated down towards me ever so slow and softly. It reached out and kissed me on my third eye, and this pattern of an infinitely petaled lotus blossomed out from the center of my head.
All of the monks (and now many other entities all surrounding me) started cheering and clapping and celebrating. Then the grandfather light being wrapped a monks cloak around me and told me to stand up.
Voices started telling me to teach people my tai chi that I have been developing in sacred meditation practices, and I saw visions of myself at different stages of teaching people, without even saying a lesson was being put across. Eventually I saw a sacred shrined out dojo full of shaolin looking monks, doing the most beautiful movements and energies floating off of them...But I was teaching them how to do it.
A thousand blessings to all beings in all realms.

1. Practices that aim to use paranormal or spiritual means to influence events for selfish purposes, or for the benefit of all humanity. 2. The art of conjuring. The claimed art of altering things either by supernatural means or through knowledge of occult natural laws unknown to science. It is in contrast to science, in that science does not accept anything not subject to either direct or indirect observation, and subject to logical analysis, whereas practitioners of magic claim it is an inexplicable force beyond logic. Magic has been practised in all cultures, and utilizes ways of understanding, experiencing and influencing the world somewhat akin to those offered by religion, though it is sometimes regarded as more focused on achieving results than religious worship. Magic is often viewed with suspicion by the wider community, and is commonly practised in isolation and secrecy. Modern Western magicians generally state magic's primary purpose to be personal spiritual growth, many seeing magic ritual purely in psychological terms as a powerful means of autosuggestion and of contacting the unconscious mind. Modern perspectives on the theory of magic broadly follow two views, which also correspond closely to ancient views. The first sees magic as a result of a universal sympathy within the universe, where if something is done here a result happens somewhere else. The other view sees magic as a collaboration with spirits who cause the effect.
Traditional symbols of love always express a duality in which the two
antagonistic elements are, nevertheless, reconciled. Thus, the Indian lingam, the Yang-Yin, or even the Cross, where the upright beam is the world-axis and Chinese
the cross-beam the world of phenomena. They are, in other words, symbols of a
conjunction, or the expression of the ultimate goal of true love: the elimination of
dualism and separation, uniting them in the mystic ‘centre’, the ‘unvarying mean’
of Far Eastern philosophy. The rose, the lotus flower, the heart, the irradiating
point—these are the most frequent symbols of this hidden centre; ‘hidden’ because it does not exist in space, although it is imagined as doing so, but denotes the
state achieved through the elimination of separation. The biological act of love
itself expresses this desire to die in the object of the desire, to dissolve in that
which is already dissolved. According to the Book of Baruch: ‘Erotic desire and
its satisfaction is the key to the origin of the world. Disappointment in love and
the revenge which follows in its wake are the root of all the evil and the selfishness
in this world. The whole of history is the work of love. Beings seek and find one
another; separate and hurt one another; and in the end, comes acute suffering
which leads to renunciation.’ Or to put it another way: Maya as opposed to
Lilith, illusion balanced by the serpent.

Your preoccupation has found its way into your dreaming mind. On the other hand, the dream may suggests that you have accepted certain qualities of your friend and incorporated it into your own character.
To dream that you are making love in public or in different places, relates to some overt sexual issue or need. Your dream may be telling you that you need to express yourself more openly. Alternatively, it represents your perceptions about your own sexuality in the context of social norms. You may be questioning your feelings about sex, marriage, love, and gender roles.
To dream of loving any object, denotes satisfaction with your present environments.
To dream that the love of others fills you with happy forebodings, successful affairs will give you contentment and freedom from the anxious cares of life. If you find that your love fails, or is not reciprocated, you will become despondent over some conflicting question arising in your mind as to whether it is best to change your mode of living or to marry and trust fortune for the future advancement of your state.

There is a certain parallel between the symbolism of the lotus and that
of the rose in Western culture. In Egypt, the lotus symbolizes nascent life, or first
appearance (19). Saunier regards it as a natural symbol for all forms of evolution
(49). In the Middle Ages it was equated with the mystic ‘Centre’ and, consequently, with the heart (56, 14). As an artistic creation it is related to the mandala,
its significance varying according to the number of its petals: the eight-petalled
lotus-is considered in India as the Centre where Brahma dwells and as the visible
manifestation of his occult activity (26). The figure eight is like the mandorla of
Romanesque art, signifying the intersection of the earth (four, or the square) with
heaven (the circle). The ‘thousand-petalled’ lotus symbolizes the final revelation;
in the centre there is usually a triangle and inside the triangle is the ‘great emptiness’ symbolic of formlessness. René Guénon has examined lotus-symbolism at
great length, observing that The potentialities of being are realized by means of an
activity which is always internal’ (this is the ‘growth’ of Father Gratry) ‘since it
is exercised from the centre of each plane; furthermore, from the metaphysical
point of view, it is impossible for external action to be brought to bear upon the
total being, for such action is possible only on a relative and a particular plane. .
This realization of potentialities is depicted in various symbolisms as the . .
unfolding of a flower on the surface of the “waters”; generally, in oriental traditions, it is a lotus, and a rose or lis in the West. There is a further relationship
between these flowers and the circumference as a symbol of the manifest world,
as well as with the cosmic Wheel. This symbol finds other forms of expression in
many different ways, but always related to the symbolism of numbers, that is,
depending upon the number of petals’ (25). From the remotest days of antiquity,
the lotus was the unanimous choice of the Chinese, the Japanese, the Hindus, the
Egyptians and the Aryans. The lotus flower growing out of the navel of Vishnu,
symbolizes the universe growing out of the central sun—the central point or the
‘unmoved mover’. It is the attribute of many deities (9). In lotus symbolism, the
idea of emanation and of realization predominated over that of the hidden Centre,
which is a Western accretion.
To see a lotus in your dream, represents enlightenment, growth, purity, beauty and expansion of the soul. The image of the lotus serves as encouragement and provides hope in dark and murky times.

A symbol of individuality—of private thoughts. The windows symbolize the possibility of understanding and of passing through to the external and
the beyond, and are also an illustration of any idea of communication. Hence, a
closed room lacking windows may be symbolic of virginity, according to Frazer,
and also of other kinds of non-communication. Many rites involving the
enclosureimage are performed to mark the reaching of puberty, all over the world.
The legend about Danae, shut up by her father in a bronze tower, pertains to this
particular symbolism. There is a Siberian legend concerning a ‘dark house of iron’
which is also relevant to it (21). We might also mention the ‘vase with a lid’, one
of the eight emblems of good luck in Chinese Buddhism, and a symbol of wholeness, of the idea with no ‘exit’, or, in other words, of supreme intelligence triumphant over birth and death (signified respectively by the doors and windows of
the room) (5). This explains why the hermetically sealed room may possibly be
a variant form of the ‘vase with a lid’.

Dreams about various rooms often relate to hidden areas of the conscious mind and different aspects of your personality. A broad term embracing a number of techniques for achieving various altered states of awareness, with some of these altered states resulting in the ecstatic qualities of so-called “peak experience;” most meditative techniques are ways of learning to still the agitation of the mind so that more subtle and valuable aspects of self and reality may be perceived; some techniques involve concentration, in which attention is focused on a particular object and restrained from wandering, while others involve giving one’s total attention to whatever spontaneously happens, with no attempt to control or focus attention.
Light, traditionally, is equated with the spirit (9). Ely Star asserts that
the superiority of the spirit is immediately recognizable by its luminous intensity. Light is the manifestation of morality, of the intellect and the seven virtues
(54). Its whiteness alludes to just such a synthesis of the All. Light of any given
colour possesses a symbolism corresponding to that colour, plus the significance
of emanation from the ‘Centre’, for light is also the creative force, cosmic energy irradiation (57). Symbolically, illumination comes from the East. Psychologically
speaking, to become illuminated is to become aware of a source of light, and, in
consequence, of spiritual strength (32).
To see light in your dream, represents illumination, clarity, guidance, plain understanding, and insight. Light is being shed on a once cloudy situation or problem. You have found the truth to a situation or an answer to a problem. Also consider the color of the light for additional significance.
If the light is particularly bright, then it indicates that you need to move toward a higher level of awareness and feeling. Bright light dreams are sometimes common for those who are near death.
To see soft or shadowy lighting in your dreams, indicates feelings and thoughts from the primal aspects and less developed parts of your unconscious.
To dream that you cannot turn on the light, indicates a lack of insight and perspective on a situation.
If you dream of light, success will attend you. To dream of weird light, or if the light goes out, you will be disagreeably surprised by some undertaking resulting in nothing.
