I am looking out over these two long swimming pools side by side. At the far end of the pool on the left I can barely make out that my girlfriend, Kelsey, is standing next to my friend Steve. Both of them jump in the pool, and I see their heads come up out of the water and kiss. I feel a deep pain that I experience as anger. I turn to my left and walk away angrily. I come to a main road and cross it. On the other side of the road is a can. I kick it out of anger. A brown Chevy Blazer pulls over to my left and the woman in the passenger seat yells out at me not to kick the can. I respond with some angry remark. She gets out of the Blazer and comes toward me. She is wearing a conservative, flowery dress. I decide to run. I run into this large house under construction, that is only a wood frame. The woman chases me throughout the house, I see her running up the stairs behind me. I run to the very top of the stairs, which end on a 2nd or 3rd story ledge. There is a 2x4 crossing the top of the doorway opening to the ledge. I hit and break the 2x4 off and a narrator's voice says, "And the 2x4 was number 99". The dream continues in slow motion as I slowly spin downwards and the house comes crashing down. I see a view of all of the rubble and a policeman comes out of it on a bicycle and says, "Let us say a prayer for the hopeless, the helpless, and the hatless".
