Has anyone else noticed themselves having cycles? It seems to me that I have about two weeks off with nothing. Then the dreams start creeping in. They get more and more vivid and intense, culminating in maybe three days of lucidity. Then it's back to nothing. More or less about a week on and two weeks off. That, and about every six months I go through a cycle of visitations as well. Maybe about a week where I seem to break on through to the other side, and I can see visitors in my room with me. Then nothing for another six months. HUH?!
What about you guys?
The pattern of the week is related to that of the seven Directions of
Space: two days are associated with each of the three dimensions, while the
centre, as the ‘unvarying mean’ or the image of the Aristotelian ‘unmoved mover’,
corresponds to the day of rest. The fact that this space-time prototype, founded
upon the number seven, embraced also the planetary spheres and the principal
deities of each pantheon, can be seen in the way each of the planets (including the
sun and the moon) gave its name to one of the weekdays. As a consequence of this
influence of the planetary gods (comparable in their negative aspect with the
seven deadly sins), the seven-headed monster of myth, legend and folklore also
refers to the dangers of temptation growing day by day as the week progresses.
To dream about the week, signifies your sense of time management. The dream may also be a pun on being "weak".
To dream that you break something, indicates that changes are ahead for you. You need to "break" away from some situation and change the direction that your life is headed in. Alternatively, to break something suggests that you need to take things slower as in "take a break". Or the dream may be a pun on being broke. Are money matters weighing on your mind?
To dream that objects around you are breaking, suggests that you are under tremendous stress. The dream could be a metaphor that you are literally at your breaking point.
Breakage is a bad dream. To dream of breaking any of your limbs, denotes bad management and probable failures. To break furniture, denotes domestic quarrels and an unquiet state of the mind.
To break a window, signifies bereavement. To see a broken ring order will be displaced by furious and dangerous uprisings, such as jealous contentions often cause.
Dreaming that you break something indicates that changes are ahead for you. You want to change the direction that your life is headed. Alternatively, it suggests that you need to take things slower.
The cyclic character of phenomena—cyclic, that is, because of the
tendency of the final stage to curve back towards the initial stage of the process
in question—leads to its being symbolized by figures such as the circle, the spiral
and the ellipse. All processes are cyclic in this way, embracing movement in
space, passage through time, and any change in form or condition, whether they
are cycles pertaining to the year, the month, the week, the day, or the span of life
of a man, a culture or a race. The symbolism of the Zodiac and the division into
twelve (four times three and vice versa) are inextricably linked with the symbolic
meaning of the cycle (40, 51). Graphically, the completed cycle is represented by
two signs or images facing in opposite directions, symbolic of the acts of going
and coming. This can be seen for example in Roman steles, having footprints
pointing in opposite directions.
A symbol of individuality—of private thoughts. The windows symbolize the possibility of understanding and of passing through to the external and
the beyond, and are also an illustration of any idea of communication. Hence, a
closed room lacking windows may be symbolic of virginity, according to Frazer,
and also of other kinds of non-communication. Many rites involving the
enclosureimage are performed to mark the reaching of puberty, all over the world.
The legend about Danae, shut up by her father in a bronze tower, pertains to this
particular symbolism. There is a Siberian legend concerning a ‘dark house of iron’
which is also relevant to it (21). We might also mention the ‘vase with a lid’, one
of the eight emblems of good luck in Chinese Buddhism, and a symbol of wholeness, of the idea with no ‘exit’, or, in other words, of supreme intelligence triumphant over birth and death (signified respectively by the doors and windows of
the room) (5). This explains why the hermetically sealed room may possibly be
a variant form of the ‘vase with a lid’.
To dream that you are in a room, represents a particular aspect of yourself or a specific relationship. Dreams about various rooms often relate to hidden areas of the conscious mind and different aspects of your personality. If the room is welcoming or comfortable, then it signifies opulence and satisfaction in life. If you see a dark or confined room, then it denotes that you feel trapped or repressed in a situation.
To dream that you find or discover a new room, suggests that you are developing new strengths and taking on new roles. You may be growing emotionally. Consider what you find in the discovered room as it may indicate repressed memories, fears, or rejected emotions. Alternatively, such rooms are symbolic of neglected skills or rejected potential.
To dream that you are in an empty white room, indicates a fresh start. It is like a blank canvas where you want to start life anew. Alternatively, the dream means that you are trying to isolate yourself. You do not want any outside influences.
To dream of a yellow room, suggests that you need to use your mind. You are feeling stimulated mentally.

To dream that you have a fleshy, healthy side, you will be successful in courtship and business.
