I don't remember much of this dream. But I do remember being with my boyfriend. We were on a ship, I think. We were looking down at this tremendously LARGE rattlesnake at our feet. It was about to attack another snake.
My boyfriend is terrified of snakes.
I picked up the other snake. It was black and much smaller. I felt protective of it, as if it were my pet. I tried to give it to my BF, and he was like….. oh hell no. I wanted to kill the rattlesnake, or somehow get it away, maybe throw it off the boat. But when I looked back down again, the rattler had shape shifted into a worm. It was reaaaaaaaally long, translucent, and kind of orange. It looked like it had the consistency of rice noodles. It had either broken into bits, or there were three of them. They were all flapping about and wriggling on the deck. I felt bad for a moment, that maybe it had understood that I was going to kill it, and had turned itself inside out or something in defense.
I tried to get a closer look. I was still holding the black snake, and I felt like it was grateful to me, but I was kind of grossed out by the scene.
So I woke up.
