I was with a group of approximately 20 individuals, all of whom appeared to be adults. We had gathered at dusk outside the old snake park on the beach-front. I get the feeling that we might have been together for a workshop of some sort.
The fabric of the dream then ripples and I find myself seated on a bench with the others. Night has fallen. Suddenly the woman to my right exclaims in excited disbelief, 'Look at the sky!' I look up and to the right as blue tremors of aurora pulsate. I am dazzled by the beauty of the display but become completely entranced as the colors and texture of the plasma morph and complexify; an apparition of light torn through a crack in the sky.
With a feeling close to horror I behold that which I simply cannot begin to comprehend. Red waves of light become the backdrop to a series of golden compound circles that compose themselves of sparks. Lightning lashes through the eruption of energy and a stick-figure cross flashes briefly before being replaced by a pale blue neon block-cross. The whole sequence is utterly alien and mystical.
After a period of recovery I see Terence McKenna standing 10 feet away, directly below the point where the transcendent fireworks had previously evolved. He asks the group (me?) for our thoughts. I favor the circles and cross as the focus of the discussion, citing novelty of form (as opposed to the aurora which has been witnessed before).
Coinciding with this dream has been my acceptance to Master's programs at the three universities I applied to. I am reminded of the things I saw at Shpongletron (Electric Forest 2011). This evening I caught a Travel Channel show about the Shipibo in Peru which focused on shamanism, plant medicine/teachers, and Aya. Life grows stranger still.
