Preface: Michaela and I are very close with Taylor and James and Manakai (their son who is 3ish), also with Dave Jolley. A while ago, Manakai went thru a phase where we was dreaming about Tigers all the time. When you'd ask him what he dreamed about he would bare his teeth and say "TIGERS!" with a scary look and not being able to pernounce the R propperly it was just really cute. He would also say sometimes "Scary Tiger!" but with the miss pernounciation of the R so that it sounded like "Scawy Tigeuh". Later, one night Michaela found this cute little beany baby Tiger at Elric's house and adopted the character, saying "Scawy Tiguh" the same way Manakai would. Scawy has become a frequent character in our jokes, stories and life and represents Manakai especially when we don't see him for a while.
Dream: I was at this house looking at a room. It was Dave Jolley's room at Taylor Maiden Space's house. They had a pet Tiger in the house who was totally lovable. After looking at the room Taylor asked me if I could take the tiger outside and put his collar on him with a chain. Once I got out front he started testing me and could feel that I was afraid. I walked him to the back yard which was fenced in with like 35' fences and totally overpowered me and b-lined toward the back fence where there was a HUGE monkey (the size of the tiger, his body not including his arms were about 8-10' long) and started climbing the fence to get to the monkey (probably a baboon).
I ran inside and got Taylor and told her what happened. She was casual but quick and ran out a back way to get to the back yard. I followed behind her but she was already in the back yard when I went thru the room to get to the back yard where two people were having sex. I said "sorry, don't stop on account of me" and they took no notice of me at all, I passed thru to the back yard.
When I got there the Tiger was still perched on the chain link fence half way up and Taylor was hanging out in the yard with Mando. She said that it was ok and smiled.
It wasn't until after the dream did I realize that this was Scawy Tiguh, embodied in his full living form. :)
To see a neat and well-kept yard, reflects your ability to maintain and organize aspects of your outside life, such as work and your social activities.
To see a messy and unkempt yard, denotes that aspects of your life are out of your control.

Two interpretations of the tiger have been offered which are easily
reconciled: ‘It is associated with Dionysos, and is a symbol of wrath and cruelty’
(8); ‘In China, it is symbolic of darkness and of the new moon’ (17). For darkness
is always identical with the darkness of the soul, and corresponds to that state
which the Hindus term tamas and which falls within the general symbolism of level, and also denotes the unbridled expression of the base powers of the instincts. Now, in China the tiger seems to play a rôle comparable with that of the
lion in African and Western cultures: both animals—like the dragon—take on two
different characters—as the wild beast and as the tamed animal. This is what lies
behind the tiger as an allegorical expression of strength and valour in the service of
righteousness. Five mythic tigers together constitute a symbol which is invested
with the same meaning as the tetramorphs in Christian tradition, in so far as they
are the defenders of the spatial order against the forces of chaos. The Red Tiger
reigns in the south, his season being summer and his Element fire; the Black Tiger
reigns in the north—winter is his season, and his Element water; the Blue Tiger
reigns in the East, in the spring and amidst vegetation; the White Tiger predominates in the west, in autumn and among the metals; and, finally, the Yellow Tiger
(solar in colour) inhabits the earth and reigns supreme over all the other tigers.
This Yellow Tiger is located in the ‘Centre’, as the Emperor was situated in the
heart of China and as China lies at the centre of the world (13). This quaternary
division plus the centre as the fifth Element is, as Jung has shown, of archetypal
significance in the symbolism of situation. When the tiger appears in association
with other animals, his symbolic significance varies according to the relative
status of the animals within the hierarchy: for instance, the tiger struggling with a
reptile stands for the superior principle, but the converse applies if it is locked in
combat with a lion or a winged being.
To dream of a tiger advancing towards you, you will be tormented and persecuted by enemies. If it attacks you, failure will bury you in gloom. If you succeed in warding it off, or killing it, you will be extremely successful in all your undertakings.
To see one running away from you, is a sign that you will overcome opposition, and rise to high positions.
To see them in cages, foretells that you will foil your adversaries.
To see rugs of tiger skins, denotes that you are in the way to enjoy luxurious ease and pleasure.
To see a tiger in your dream, represents power and your ability to exert it in various situations. The dream may also indicate that you need to take more of a leadership role. Alternatively, the tiger represents female sexuality, aggression, and seduction.
To dream that you are attacked by a tiger, symbolizes repressed feelings or emotions that you are frighten you of.
To see a caged tiger in your dream, suggests that your repressed feelings are on the verge of surfacing.
To see rugs made of tiger skins, symbolize a life of luxury and ease.
Seeing a tiger in your dream, symbolizes repressed feelings or emotions that frighten you. Alternatively, the tiger represents female sexuality, aggression, and seduction. If the tiger is in a cage, then it suggests that those repressed feelings/emotions are on the verge of surfacing. Dreaming that you are attacked by a tiger means overwhelming gloom and disappointing failures. You may find yourself distressed and tormented by rivals. Dreaming that you ward off or kill a tiger means that you will be exceedingly successful in all your endeavors. It is an indication of your good health, vitality, and vigor. Seeing rugs made of tiger skins, symbolizes a life of luxury and ease.
This large and very beautiful cat can symbolise femininity, power, anger, unforgiving vengeance, great force, and cunning. Tigers cannot be ignored, and usually they get exactly what they go after. Consider all of these characteristics and try to see if they apply to your or anyone else's current mood or character.
Chinese Tiger Meanings and Symbolic Thoughts about the Tiger
In China, the tiger is considered the king of all beasts (not the lion) and represents powerful energy. Further, the tiger is associated with Tsai Shen Yeh, the Chinese God of Wealth, and this god is usually seen sitting on a tiger in Asian art.
Asian lore considers the tiger the protector of the dead, and will often be seen in graves as a mark of protection, assuring peace for those who have passed.
Chinese animal symbolism of the tiger deals with (but is not limited to):
Power
Energy
Royalty
Protection
Generosity
Illumination
Unpredictability
Tigers are considered a yang energy, and are also a solar animal which associates them with symbolisms of the sun, summer and fire.
In ancient Chinese myth there are five tigers that hold the balance of cosmic forces in place and prevent chaos from collapsing into the universe.
These five tigers are:
White Tiger: ruler of the Fall season and governor of the Metal elementals
Black Tiger: ruler of the Winter season and governor of the Water elementals
Blue Tiger: ruler of the Spring season and governor of the Earth elementals
Red Tiger: ruler of the Summer season and governor of the Fire elementals
Yellow Tiger: the supreme ruler of all these tigers and symbolic of the Sun
So the next time you wish to honor a loved one who has passed this physical realm considered the tiger as a symbol of reverence.
Or, if you are intending more wealth in your life, call upon tiger energy to help you facilitate this (hint: visualize the copper color of the tiger associated with the gleam of coins. Visual associations like these are very effective with attracting our desires.)
Lastly, as you align yourself with the seasons and cycles of Mother Nature, consider including the five Chinese tigers in your practices.
Chinese symbol meaning of Tiger is as diverse as the noble creature itself. Take the time to learn more about this amazing animal, it will be worth your investment!

Mystics have always traditionally considered the feminine aspect of
the universe as a chest, a house or a wall, as well as an enclosed garden. Another
symbolic association is that which equates the house (and the above, related
forms) with the repository of all wisdom, that is, tradition itself (4). In architectural symbolism, on the other hand, the house carries not only an overall symbolism but also particular associations attached to each of its component parts.
Nevertheless, the house as a home arouses strong, spontaneous associations with
the human body and human thought (or life, in other words), as has been confirmed empirically by psychoanalysts. Ania Teillard explains this by pointing
out that, in dreams, we employ the image of the house as a representation of the
different layers of the psyche. The outside of the house signifies the outward
appearance of Man: his personality or his mask. The various floors are related to
the vertical and spatial symbols. The roof and upper floor correspond to the head
and the mind, as well as to the conscious exercise of self-control. Similarly, the
basement corresponds to the unconscious and the instincts (just as sewers do, in
symbols pertaining to the city). The kitchen, since this is where foodstuff is
transformed, sometimes signifies the place or the moment of psychic transmutation in the alchemical sense. The intercommunicating rooms speak for themselves. The stairs are the link between the various planes of the psyche, but their
particular significance depends upon whether they are seen as ascending or descending. Finally, there is, as we have said, the association of the house with the
human body, especially regarding its openings, as was well understood by
Artemidorus Daldianus (56).
To see a house in your dream, represents your own soul and self. Specific rooms in the house indicate a specific aspect of your psyche. In general, the attic represents your intellect, the basement represents the unconscious, etc. If the house is empty, then it indicates feelings of insecurity. If the house is shifting, then it suggests that you are going through some personal changes and changing your belief system. To dream that a house has no walls, represents a lack of privacy. You feel that everyone is looking over your shoulder or up in your business.
To dream that you are cleaning your house, signifies your need to clear out your thoughts and get rid of old ways. You are seeking self-improvement.
If you live with others in your waking life, but dream that you are living alone, suggests that you need to take new steps toward independence. You need to accept responsibilities and be more self-reliant.
To see an old, run-down house in your dream, represents your old beliefs, attitudes and how you used to think or feel. A situation in your current life may be bringing about those same old attitudes and feelings. Alternatively, the old house may symbolize your need to update you mode of thinking. To dream that your house is damaged, indicates your waking concerns about the condition of your house.
To see a new house in your dream, indicates that you are entering into a new phase or new area in your life. You are becoming more emotionally mature. If you are locked out of the house, then it represents rejection and insecurity. You feel you are being left behind.
To dream that your house is broken into, suggests that you are feeling violated. It may refer to a particular relationship or current situation in your life. Alternatively, it indicates that some unconscious material is attempting to make itself known. There are some aspects of yourself that you have denied.
To dream of a haunted house, signifies unfinished emotional business, related to your childhood family, dead relatives, or repressed memories and feelings.
To dream that a house has disappeared, indicates that you are not feeling grounded. You feel uprooted by a particular circumstance or relationship in your life.
To dream that water is rising up in your house, suggests that you are becoming overwhelmed by your emotions.
To dream of building a house, you will make wise changes in your present affairs.
To dream that you own an elegant house, denotes that you will soon leave your home for a better, and fortune will be kind to you.
Old and dilapidated houses, denote failure in business or any effort, and declining health.

It is common to dream about houses. They usually symbolise our emotional and psychological selves. All of your experiences, stages of development, and parts of your conscious and unconscious life may be represented by that house. The house may be representing issues concerning a particular dilemma in your life, or it may be more general and comprehensive. Either way, if you pay attention to the details in this dream, you may learn a thing or two about yourself.
A symbol of individuality—of private thoughts. The windows symbolize the possibility of understanding and of passing through to the external and
the beyond, and are also an illustration of any idea of communication. Hence, a
closed room lacking windows may be symbolic of virginity, according to Frazer,
and also of other kinds of non-communication. Many rites involving the
enclosureimage are performed to mark the reaching of puberty, all over the world.
The legend about Danae, shut up by her father in a bronze tower, pertains to this
particular symbolism. There is a Siberian legend concerning a ‘dark house of iron’
which is also relevant to it (21). We might also mention the ‘vase with a lid’, one
of the eight emblems of good luck in Chinese Buddhism, and a symbol of wholeness, of the idea with no ‘exit’, or, in other words, of supreme intelligence triumphant over birth and death (signified respectively by the doors and windows of
the room) (5). This explains why the hermetically sealed room may possibly be
a variant form of the ‘vase with a lid’.
To dream that you are in a room, represents a particular aspect of yourself or a specific relationship. Dreams about various rooms often relate to hidden areas of the conscious mind and different aspects of your personality. If the room is welcoming or comfortable, then it signifies opulence and satisfaction in life. If you see a dark or confined room, then it denotes that you feel trapped or repressed in a situation.
To dream that you find or discover a new room, suggests that you are developing new strengths and taking on new roles. You may be growing emotionally. Consider what you find in the discovered room as it may indicate repressed memories, fears, or rejected emotions. Alternatively, such rooms are symbolic of neglected skills or rejected potential.
To dream that you are in an empty white room, indicates a fresh start. It is like a blank canvas where you want to start life anew. Alternatively, the dream means that you are trying to isolate yourself. You do not want any outside influences.
To dream of a yellow room, suggests that you need to use your mind. You are feeling stimulated mentally.

To see a fence in your dream, signifies an obstacle or barrier that may be standing on your path. You may feel confined and restricted in expressing yourself. Are you feeling fenced in some situation or confined in some relationship? Alternatively, it may symbolize a need for privacy. You may want to shut off the rest of the world.
To dream that you are climbing to the top of a fence, denotes success. If you climb over the fence, then it indicates that you will accomplish your desires via not so legitimate means. If you dream that you are on the fence, then the dream may be a metaphor indicating that you undecided about something.
To dream that you are building a fence, suggests that you are building a solid foundation for success. Alternatively, it indicates that you are blocking something out or you are shutting yourself out.

To be seated on a fence with others, and have it fall under you, denotes an accident in which some person will be badly injured.
To dream that you climb through a fence, signifies that you will use means not altogether legitimate to reach your desires.
To throw the fence down and walk into the other side, indicates that you will, by enterprise and energy, overcome the stubbornest barriers between you and success.
To see stock jumping a fence, if into your enclosure, you will receive aid from unexpected sources; if out of your lot, loss in trade and other affairs may follow.
To dream of building a fence, denotes that you are, by economy and industry, laying a foundation for future wealth. For a young woman, this dream denotes success in love affairs; or the reverse, if she dreams of the fence falling, or that she falls from it.

The Egyptian hieroglyphic sign in the shape of a vertical chain of
three links formed by two lines intertwining (with a fourth link, left open, at the
bottom) holds a dual symbolism: on the one hand, that of the caduceus of Mercury, standing for the dual streams—involution and evolution—of the universe
(19); and on the other, implying the general symbolism of the chain, that is, bonds and communication. On the cosmic plane it is the symbol of the marriage of
heaven and earth, similar to other symbols such as the cry of pain, the whistle of
the stone hurled skywards by the sling, and the arrow (50). On the plane of
earthly existence it is the symbol of matrimony: each link actually or potentially
corresponding to a blood-relationship: father and mother, sons and daughters,
brothers (51). In a wider sense related to the symbolism of bonds and cords,
bands and twine, it is a symbol of social or psychic integration along with the
secondary but very important characteristic of the toughness of its material.
Amongst the Gauls there were comrades in arms who would enter into combat
chained together in pairs so that if one died, his companion was bound to fall too.
A saying that is powerfully evocative of the spiritual significance of the chain
symbol is attributed to Louis XI of France: presenting a golden chain to Raoul de
Lannoi as an award for bravery, the king exclaimed: ‘Par le Pâque-Dieu, my
friend, thou art so ferocious in battle that thou must be chained up, for I do not
wish to lose thee lest I need thy help once more’.
Seeing chains in your dream means your need to break free from a routine, old idea, or a relationship. If you are being chained, then some part of you is being forcefully head in check.
