There's no longer a grip for me, not even in tonight's starless sky overlooking my half dismantled and wrecked body.
I feel a rumble from the bottom up, a vibration that shakes away a piece of land, far away from here.
Large crowds of men moving great amount of air and, in the air, dust that drawn by the flow rises and flies away. Now I can't see them, because in my crumpled form I can only perceive sounds, noises and cries.
But those distant sounds, those cries are altogether here and now, invited to the costume party of my downfall.

Non esiste più un appiglio per me, nemmeno nel cielo senza stelle di questa notte che sovrasta il mio corpo semismontato e rotto.
Sento salire un rombo dal basso, una vibrazione lontana che fa tremare una parte di terra, molto distante da qui.
Grandi masse di uomini che spostano grandi masse di aria e, nell’aria, la polvere, che sale attratta dalle correnti e vola via.
Per ora non posso vederli, perché nel mio corpo accartocciato posso percepire solo suoni, rumori e lamenti. Ma quei suoni lontani, quelle grida, sono già tutte qui, invitate al ballo, alla festa in maschera del mio sfacelo. [g.spadaccini]
