........A dream I remember from about 3 years ago..........
The world was much more rural than it is today. Myths and legends about the earth carried itself across the land. The major myth was that the earth was alive and have been sleeping for thousands of years. Everything that happens such as storms, volcanoes, earthquakes, it is not the "Living Earth's" doing because she is asleep. It is just nature playing its course. Here nature and Earth are not the same thing- they are entirely two different beings. The only thing they shared was breathing. They are two beings with the same breath. The things that happen in nature which are scientifically proven today, plays the same role in the dream. Except when the earth is about to awaken, only then are these things developed indirectly by earth herself.
Earth in my dream is much like the giant fish that appears to be an island or the turtle- if you know those stories. Except, the earth's animal is a worm.
What I remember happening in the dream:
The earth is bound to awaken from its slumber within a couple of days. If that does happen, all the land will lift up out of the surface along with the water and venture off into space in the shape of a giant worm. What will be left of the world is just dry molten rock that will eventually give way to the space atmosphere and crumple, to disintegrate everything within it. A few brave peoples- men, women, and highly intellectual children go off to find the "head of the earth" in order to keep it from awakening. They carry spears, no guns. These people I follow while in a spectating state. I see myself amongst them but I am not there. However I can feel and sense everything. The colors of our surroundings are vibrant and everything is alive. When you move you can feel them breath. The ground moves up and down in a slow motion. This was a main focus in the dream- the breathing of earth as she slept. The breathing sound of nature as nature and earth shared the same breath. The animals here are just as vibrantly colored as the plants and are majestically odd. These animals are what they are in real life but evolved to my mind's content as they become more elaborate. The group of people hurry over hills and deserts to find the "head of earth". The closer it was to awakening the ground gave way and earthquakes sprung up everywhere. When we reach it I can not remember what it looks like. All I remember is that it was in a cave and around it was a glowing light that illuminated off of it. In order to not have the earth awaken we chanted to it harmoniously like a mother would to a child. Caressing it till the ground no longer shook and went back to it's original slow pace. With the earth now no longer threaten to awaken, the group and I went back to our people to live another thousand years of peace.... to await the day the earth threaten to wake again.
