I was in Egypt on a tour of sorts. It seems like I was with my sisters Kealani and Charliee during most of the dream.
On a bus driving across a long expanse of desert. Can see a oasis in the distance, palm trees bright green in the desert heat. The bus is not going towards them but that is where I want to go.
I 'tap tap' the bus driver to stop. He is surprised that I want to go to the tiny oasis in the middle of nowhere. He shows me a map and says we are very close to the Pyramids, am I sure that I want to get off here.
I tell him yes. He drives us a little bit closer to this oasis and I hop off.
Walking closer I can see that this place seems abandoned. Empty streets. a few water fountains still are running, however, and I feel like I am being watched.
In the middle of the tiny oasis town, there is a pit about four feet deep, gently sloping sides. I walk into it.
In the center of the pit there is a medicine wheel. Stones in a ring, with larger stones marking the four directions. In the center of that, there is a red lighter.
I walk around, looking, wondering what the meaning of all this is.
Suddenly there is a little old man wearing long white robes standing at the top of the pit.
He points at the lighter.
"Look inside" he says.
Wondering, I pick up the lighter and notice there is a tiny hole in one side. I press my eye to that small pinprick of darkness........
.......and suddenly realize that I am seeing another tiny universe. Tiny people walking, leading tiny donkeys and cows. I blink in surprise and reverently put the lighter back down in the exact spot that it was in.
I look up to the man. He is still standing there, with a slight smile on his face. Climbing back out of the pit I ask him, 'what is that I just witnessed?' He smiles and says, "you have looked into the Halls or Amenti."
He tells me that the secret of our life, universe and the mystery that we human beings have such a hard time remembering is this:
We are not alone. There are a multitude of beings co-habitating inside our planet. They reflect things that affect them that we do, and we reflect things that they do. Mirrors of light, he says they are aware of us. But we are not aware of them.
As he is talking it dawns upon me that he is none other than Thoth.
The last thing he tells me
"Honor your life for it is full of life that stretched far beyond you and your thoughts. Honor the objects that surround you, for they too are full of life beyond any that you imagine. Live life with integrity and you will learn the answer to your questions is right in front of you."
And, typical Thoth style, he vanished into thin air, leaving me there with a feeling of deep awareness and meditative happiness.
