Dream: It is the 4th of July. My friend Sharon lives next door to me and her and a group of friends are preparing for an Independence Day party. I go over to say hi and they invite me to join them. I have people at my house too and they are also getting ready for a party. The celebration ends up being similar to a Farmers Market. Tables and booths set up selling different foods and wares. I see my dad sitting in front of a large table that seemed to have every type of summer food spread on it. I somehow know it isn't his booth but he is just hanging out there in a chair keeping the vendor company. I sit at a high top table for a while with some women I don't know from waking life. A black lady is talking about her boyfriend overseas and how he cannot move here so if she wants to be with him she will have to go to him. She also mentions that he is a virgin. I suggest that isn't a bad thing and harken it to being like a lump of clay that she can mold to her liking. I remember seeing my hands acting out molding clay as I say it to her. I talk to one of the girls at the table about Yoga for a minute and then someone on a bull horn announces that the vendors booths are about to pack up and make way for the fireworks display. He says that many of the vendors are giving away what they have left at no charge. People get up from their seats and rush at the tables. I follow.
I grab all types of breads, donuts, and pastries. My arms are overflowing with bread. I decide to take my goods into my house and along the way pass an old Russian woman who suggests I take some of her wheat bread. I agree and she begins to slice it for me. I notice she slices it into halves as if I would be making a bunch of small sandwiches. As I wait her husband gives me several handfuls of green beans. I am wishing I had a small bag to put them in.
