I had done Ayahuasca about a dozen times before I had the journey that would transform my life forever.
That night I re-lived many experiences of fear that laid the foundation for the triggers that caused reactionary programming in my automatic nervous system. I experienced each trauma again and with the experience my body shook violently as I was releasing the energy of the experience held in my cellular memory. I did this for several hours.
When it was all out of my system I collapsed and immediately left my body. I found myself floating in a VOID of nothingness. There was no beginning or end. There was no past or future. It was the ALPHA and the OMEGA. It was eternal and it was still. After an undetermined amount of time in the VOID, I suddenly saw a tiny point of light. It looked like a solitary star in a night sky. The light began to grow larger and larger. Accompanying the expanding light there was a voice. It was a feminine voice but sounded oddly like a computer generated voice like Siri.
That voice said "Mercury is Rising." It said it over and over again as the light grew larger and larger. Eventually the light engulfed me and I was now floating in an ocean of white light. I then came back into my body. I could feel light pouring through all of my energy channels. The voice continued to say "Mercury is Rising." as the light coursed through my body. I stood up and felt this big energy bubble of light around me.
The new me was born. What has happened since has been beyond extraordinary.
My first question, after that experience was to ask "what did that voice mean when it said Mercury is rising."
It took me a year or so to discover the significance or Mercury, son of Maia. The God who traveled between worlds, carrier of the caduceus, messenger of the Gods. Carl Jung talks about Mercury in the collective unconscious. Later I read a book about the Emerald Tablets that described a "Mercurial state of consciousness."
As a devoted filmmaker who had been given a task since I was young to get the great message out to the world, it all began making sense.
