Abduction Amnesia

8-20-11 - I'm standing out on the porch of a home with some friends. I don't really know them - they seem more like professional acquaintances or something. It's nighttime and we're looking up at the stars. We see a plane flying overhead, and then we see something strange. It's a circular patch of light that keeps fading in and out, so it's hard to see at first. We strain our eyes to figure out what it is. I think we all know what it is but we don't want to believe it yet.

As we stare at it, the circular shape becomes bigger as it draws closer to us. It becomes clear that this is a UFO and it's moving right toward us until it's right upon us. It's so bright, and it shoots out a beam of some kind and we are all suddenly suspended in the air and rising up toward the ship. But as soon as we feel this happening, we are back on the earth as though nothing had happened.

We all think this must have been a trick. The aliens must have taken us and then changed our memory of the event. When we return we are given the information that the aliens will send us a therapist to help us deal with the experience.

The next part of the dream I'm in a conference room with all of these people, and in comes a therapist. We sit around a long table covered in a red table cloth, talking about what happened. I fiddle around with the table cloth, trying to wrap my feet in it because they're cold.
