John C. Reilly and the Marriage Agreement

John C. Reilly is in an apartment when two men approach his door. They are carrying a nullification of marriage license agreement, and he is supposed to sign. It's as though he's cancelling the agreement to get married, not the marriage itself. But the men knock on his door and he does not come out right away. They wait and become impatient. Then one of them says something like, "I hate this part" referring to the disappointment of a marriage that won't happen. He decides to rip up the annulment. Finally John comes out of the apartment and sees the ripped form - he looks at them in disbelief. The guy says to him, "Well, now at least you're not NOT married!" Meaning the marriage is up in the air, which is better than it being cancelled altogether.
