I'm remember when I was a little kid I use to have this technique that would help me go sleep. I would close my eyes and visualize a spiraling vortex/wormhole in the void of space. I would focus on it and then visualize a rabbit looking at me then it would run and jump down into the hole. Then I would go into deep sleep.
Before I mastered the technique I would watch the rabbit go down the wormhole/vortex about 5 times or more before I'd fall into deep sleep.
However, it was not really about watching the rabbit but more so focusing on the vortex. More I'd focus on it there was this feeling of someone or something massaging my head. Out of my peripheral vision the rabbit would look at me and then go running/hopping down into the rabbit hole/vortex. Since the rabbit would come into the full center of my vision at the middle of the vortex (Main focal point) right before it fell into the hole, it would trigger this feeling in me of being pulled in. Fully embracing that feeling of being pulled in allowed for the deep sleep to take full effect. But the act/practice of focusing on the vortex kept a door open for the ability of lucid dreaming later in the deep sleep. A better way to look at it is you enter the deep sleep fully aware of what you’re doing and fully embracing what is happening.
This technique and the lucid dreaming followed by it really fueled my excitement as a kid about wanting to go to sleep and dream.
Oh, the imagination has so many secrets…
