I don't remember where this dream starts, but the part I do remember is a friend and I are looking into these hollowed out spaces on the side of a grassy hill. For some reason, I feel like we are investigating some sort of wrongdoing and it has to do with teenagers. What we find is rather surprising. Just before we find a hollowed-out space in the hill, we come upon a bag and a jacket, both of which had guns in them. Then we proceed to find the bunker and it contains a file cabinet, and more clothing, at least one jacket. The paperwork leads us to believe all these items belong to the local police, though I don't remember why.
Then next scene in the movie is my friend and I sitting at the local "precinct". We are continuing our investigation here, as well. I find a bag with receipts from the local fast food joint. There are also pieces of home-made chocolate treats in the bag and on the floor and I quickly gobble half of it up, considering keeping the rest to share with my friend. On the table, as we came in, there were three applications to the fast food restaurant, all matching the same information and officers' names that we found in the bunker. We find this rather puzzling. I can't understand why a police officer would want to work at a fast food restaurant rather than their own job. Interestingly enough, there is a review at the top of the application where it describes their attempt to work there. For different reasons, each one of them are rejected. My dream self also finds this rather odd.
As the dream progresses, I believe my friend takes off and then I am left to watch these two children, both young boys, one of whom is my younger brother, Jason.
There is also a moment where I come downstairs or around the corner from another room and there is an adult woman sitting upon a toilet who direly needs help. I even ask her if she needs help and she may or may not have replied in the affirmative. I then promptly ignore her and move into the next room. I am thinking that she is going to be difficult to help and that she is sitting on the toilet backwards, or something. Apparently, this disqualifies her from help from my dream self. I am not sure where this belongs in the chronology of the dream, except that it did occur.
Back to the room with the boys. I think I am still preoccupied with the mystery surrounding the police officers. I am supposed to be taking care of and entertaining these boys, but doing a poor job, since they are asking for my attention and participation in some game or play they are involved in and I just give them momentary, cursory attention and then go back to ignoring them, essentially. It gets close to their bedtime and this is where they start to rebel. I get very stern with them, putting on my very best authoritative nanny voice, put hand on hip, knit brows together and stare down my nose at them; subsequently yelling "Now, so-and-so, it is BEDTIME!" They immediately sober up, but don't necessarily obey me. I think one of them is whining about being hungry or not being able to finish their dinner or something. I think I tell them that they can certainly finish their dinner, but first they need to clean up the giant mess they've made first. For some reason, all this hullabaloo has drawn my attention to the fact that the room we are in is connected to a very large, tiled bathroom. Everything is the color of terra cotta in the dream, indoors, floors, walls, bathrooms, stairs.
I also think one of the reasons I was distracted from taking care of the boys is because I was trying to make phone calls while watching them. I don't know if I actually reached anyone in the process. However, it was definitely a continuance of researching about the police officer mystery.
