I was in a restaurant with a group of people, sitting at high stools along a glass bar that extended the length of a huge room with high ceilings. We were eating these crazy octopus like creatures out of shells and remarking on their texture and taste. I had a tiny camera on me, and we were reviewing the food for a show that was being broadcast from this weird station that suddenly became visible across the room. The camera had this arm that extended out of it and I accidently broke it off. I went over to the station where two attendants were sitting in front of computers, and showed them the camera. They were really upset, but I had the feeling that I could get away with anything. Kind of shrugged it off, even though I was aware of knowing that I had fucked up a seriously expensive piece of gear.
The scene shifted after that. I was in a high rise building and was aware that we were filming a commercial. The room we were using was walled off, fortress style, with giant metal plates. I was thinking that it was a really industrial look, but cool. I was aware of trying to be quiet, hoping not to wake people sleeping in the building, but the crew that I was with was communicating loudly, setting up lights and cameras and panels and such. A really pretty, animated girl woke out of one of the near apartments to see what we were up to, and I was worried that we'd disturbed her, but she told me that she was an actress also and ended up becoming part of the commercial.
We were taking a break in a room with long lounge couches, and I was noticing a blond boy with longish hair and piercing blue eyes. A few seconds after making eye contact, we were kissing and I had my head in his lap as we reviewed some footage on the camera. I recall feeling extremely safe with him, and easy. An effortless connection.
Next, I was standing on a mountain top overlooking beautiful cliffs and an ocean. My grandma Olive was next to me. I was holding onto my rainbow umbrella and suddenly realized that it could fly. As I opened it up, it took me up higher and higher and soon I was flying over the mountains. My grandma was flying next to me, and we were laughing, having the time of our lives.
Scene shift again. I was in my house and our new cook from The Gumboot and his girlfriend were with me. We were roommates. We were making breakfast together, but I was carrying on about the waffle maker not being right. The device that we were working was actually a sandwich maker, and I was attempting to pour batter into it. Then we all became really stressed because our landlady was coming. She entered the house without knocking and was this stern looking older blond woman with some unplaceable Middle Eastern accent. She was telling me I'd have to pay for the waffle maker, and I was like, "Whatever, lady, it's not even a waffle maker!" Again, feeling somewhat incredulous that I was being questioned, as if I was entitled to breaking things or something. Very strange.
Woke up feeling utterly exhausted, and wondering what all this fast paced scene changing might mean. Also feeling like my daily life right now is a bit dulled... missing the rush of video work and being on camera, but also knowing that taking a break is important.
