Well, I've made numerous claims on this site to happenings of the psychic variety being off the hook at times. Lately, however, something has gone next level. I actually went out to see an energy worker to talk about things, as I was finding myself becoming ungrounded in my daily life because of the rapid fire occurance of premonitions and synchronistical messages. She assured me that all of this was happening for a reason, and that I needed to learn to simply accept it instead of fighting it. Basically, I'm not to worry about going psychotic. This is a gift, and a blessing. In ancient days, people receiving messages about future events would be revered. These days, tell the wrong person and you end up wearing tacky pajamas, wandering psych ward hallways hopped up on some strange chemical combo.
My messages these days are the same as they've ever been. I hear snippets of conversations in my head before they happen, so that when the actual event occurs, I'm left with that deja-vu feeling of living through something I've already experienced. I get short visual pictures in my mind, like brief spliced-in scenes of things that are about to happen. Almost like a warning system, or the universe guiding me as to where I should be and what I should be doing. Some of the things I've seen have been intense and related to friends experiencing accidents of a serious nature, but most of them are trivial day-to-day type events. The other day, I was sent out on missions to pick up a bunch of random stuff, and while I was in Sechelt, I suddenly got the word "stapler" in my head loud and clear. I was just passing in front of the office supply store, so I quickly parked and went in to pick up a stapler. When I got back, the first person I ran into said, "Man, I wish you'd taken your cel with you! I was going to call you and ask if you could pick up a stapler." Haha. I handed it over. Telepaphone, check!
Yesterday's psychic happening was another trivial piece of randomness, but was quite hilarious. I woke up, and one of the first things that popped into my head was me standing at a grocery store check out with a bunch of packages of sausages. I had to laugh because I always end up in super funny conversations about sausage with people, and recently interrupted an important business meeting with a "sausage party" comment that garnered me some utterly horrified looks and a punch from my business partner. (Time to get that filter in place!) My whole day was spent with these weird flashes of the stacks of sausages. I kept giggling, but couldn't really figure it out. I certainly wasn't buying sausage for myself as I already was stacked at home with some epic Mennonite farmer sausage, which I absolutely adore. I was about to leave work and told myself the flash must have been remnants of a dream. Just as I hit the back door to exit, one of our new cooks suddenly called me back inside. She had decided to make lasagne as a lunch special for the next day, and asked if I had any plans to go grocery shopping. "Sure. Just make a list of what you need," I responded. She was like, "Well, I was thinking sausage lasagne!" "Mmmm, sausage," I replied, laughing. She said, "I'm not sure where you'd find the best stuff on the coast right now..." and I responded, "I do. I saw it in my head this morning!" and told her about my flash, which even showed me which grocery store I was at. We ended up having a quick chat about cooking (she is teaching me to move beyond making toast), and she said she wouldn't doubt it if I got a date soon, as food was indeed the way to a man's heart. This was the last thing she said to me before I left.
I ended up hitting up the grocery store I'd seen in my mind where (of course) I found some super fresh sausage in the exact flavour she'd asked for. I bought out the entire supply. As I stood at the till, the young girl was suppressing a smile at the large amount of sausage I was buying, and I told her I was having a sausage party. She laughed and randomly said, "Well, we all know that food is the way to a man's heart." It was kind of out of context, but I laughed. Not only had I already seen this scene happen in my mind, it lined up even more in her comment matching what the person receiving the sausage had just said to me. I got really hyped up for a moment and did my happy feet dance as I left, getting laughs from all the people in the line up near me. Fun!
This morning, just a small incident to report so far. I like to start my day in the local cafe by reading while I enjoy my tea. I get incredibly hyper, and have found that by starting my day in a grounded way, I'm more able to keep up the calm. I often have it happen that someone near me will say a word or a phrase just as I'm reading it. It's a trippy little synchronicity that reminds me that I'm on the right path. Usually it only happens once while I'm reading, but this morning as I was reading the word "light" someone next to me said "light" right at the same time, and then as I was smiling to myself over it, I read the next line and it happened again immediately as someone responding to that person said "watch the counter" just as the character in my book who was working as an apothecary was told to "mind the counter". Wo. It'd be one thing if it was often used phrases and words that were lining up but when it's something specific like that, it really causes one to pay attention.
2012 is a trip. That is all. Life is a psychedelic experiment at this point.
