Now is the time to honor our fragility—the tenderness of our hearts’ vision. For both of us, V, this is my prayer. To return to the roots of our intentions and examine the thoughts, choices and actions that have unfolded our Karmic trees. For both of us, V, this is my prayer. Humility means to know one’s place with clear vision, not higher, or lower than where we are—to understand with objective surrender where we belong and where we do not. For both of us, V, this is my prayer. These virtues, Tenderness, Examination, and Humility, have reconnected in my heart. The vibration of their Yoga is compassionately fierce, breaking apart that which cannot contain them. Over-exertion, fear, and greed are a sandy foundation for an empire, and make for a very lonely Emperor. I know so well, my friend, the the sting of working so hard—so much harder than necessary, due to ignorance of the Tao, then wallowing in victimhood and martyrdom, unsatisfied by seeming success, and utterly devastated when things don’t go as planned…blown this way and that without a center of gravity, enslaved by pride’s deceitful fear of disappearing. If these words have been flesh and blood, here are the bones:
I’m leaving this place. I am withdrawing the volition of my efforts. I am gathering this energy back into my center. I have offered my sincere loyalty and it was met with mistrust and accusations, and so I am giving it a different home. I have spent much time and money to develop my skill to serve these students in safer and more effective ways, and this was met with stifling discouragement and jealousy. So, I’m transplanting these endeavors to fertile soil. I’ve offered extra labor and energy to beautify and keep the school orderly, and this was met with denial and harsh demands, so I’ll save it for my own space. I initiate this surgery not from anger or vengeance but from a place of peace and with love for all involved. Not by self-will, but by the Will of the Being, in accordance with the Laws of Karma. So be it. So be it. So be it.
