ExitUs: Movement of the Dreamteam

The DreamTeam's great migration to Oakland from Seattle was many months in the past. Our mission to forge necessary connections and launch the newest version of Dreamcatcher would soon be complete.

The terrible quake in Japan was still a fresh wound on the planet.

Rumors of nuclear fallout drifting towards the west coast from the reactor explosions were creating a buzz. Geologists wondered if San Francisco's fault line would be next to go off on the "Ring of Fire" tectonic tour.

Our dreams were haunted with signs of chaos...
It was clear and agreed upon: we were done here.

It was March 13th. Dreamacatcher's Theta launch was four days away. We had no roots that could not be transplanted...nothing holding us back. The majority of us were weary of the city's exhausting intensity anyhow.
Soon our coordinates were set. Dreamberry North, nestled in Canada's luscious coastal Elvinstone forest, would be our new collective home.

We want the Bay Area to be in our rear-view mirror by Friday the 18th. Five days...can we pull it off? Wheels begin turning.... our vision is strong.

Thursday the 17th: Theta was launched. There was much rejoicing,
abruptly followed by the disassembling of our galactic Flowspace office.
(sharing space within the epic Flowtoys headquarters http://flowtoys.com/ )

Friday the 18th: We out.
The fresh, curling smoke of sagebrush wafts through the quiet rooms of our Oakland home as we shut the door behind us for the last time.

As with all endeavors, a test-like resistance is a natural part of the equation. All that day, the rain poured down like it rarely does in northern California. It was the worst conditions for moving, and for traveling. It seemed like tons of little problems arose to test our resolve.
As we approached the freeway to leave, the sky exploded in lightening and peels of thunder, as if the gods were furious. Then it began to hail...gigantic, pounding hail. The flow of traffic came to a congested crawl.

Right then and there within the tangle of cars and storm, I decided to pull out my I-Ching, and do a cast for this unforgettable day in the history of Dreamcatcher.
We received hexagram 24: FU (Return). It is interesting that this particular hexagram symbolizes Earth over Thunder.

The opening paragraph of the teaching aptly states:

"A time of darkness has come to a close. Receiving this hexagram is a sign that you have reached a turning point. This moment is akin to a winter solstice: the greatest adversity has past and the light is beginning to return."

Homeward bound!
