I recall being on set of an outdoor stunt set for the Dave Chappelle Show. They are trying to get Dave across from one building to another on a small platform as he sort of sits on his hands and knees on it making strange noises and all in all this stunt is quite ridiculous. This is when I notice Brooke Burke is in the same room with me. We are on probably the sixth floor of a skyscraper and the wall is missing so I am standing on the ledge just looking down over water…I feel like it’s the Bay in New York. I look across and opposite me on the wall is Brooke. Arms crossed, looking bored and unentertained. I can only assume Chapelle asked her to come along for celebrity addition to this weeks show, but she’s not impressed, and I figure its because of all the insane stunts she has done on E! Wild On.
I look back at Chappelle and he’s like got several safety straps on him and he’s perfectly safe but he looks pathetic freaking out up there. I start up a conversation with Brooke. She seems familiar with me and tells me she likes my work or something like that. I feel like I am not below her even though I’ve had a celebrity crush on this chick for God knows how long. She’s treating me like an equal and I am doing the same. I am not groveling or anything, I’m not drooling, I am not aroused. I am meeting her on an equal plane. We talk for a while and I remember little if any of the dialogue. The feeling of this one is what was interesting.
