Vanquishing Foe...

I was in a massive office building. Someone was giving me a tour of the space. As it turned out, all of my friends had offices in this building. Someone had given each of us spaces, suited to our interests. We would now all be able to work in the same place and do what we loved as work.
The space that I had been given was a station in a tattoo shop named "Storm", that was down on the ground floor. We went to visit there next. As promised, I had my own station... but it wasn't very nice. It was a rotating space, so many people had tattooed there before. The presiding equipment was flimsy and dirty and had fallen to disrepair.
I didn't let it discourage me, though. I knew I had a lot of work ahead of me so I dove right in. I started by cleaning and organizing, envisioning spaces for my tools. I also realized that I could very well make it a sweet space by installing a semi-permanent gazebo structure around the space. It had no roof and was open to the elements.
I was approached by a bigger guy who wanted a tattoo. He was very excited and spilling over with details. I took them in, and then told him how to get in touch with me. Then he wandered across the street and sat in the chair of another tattoo artist at another shop.
I realized that I had to be careful since I was the new kid on the block. I didn't want to steal anyone's clients or step on any toes.
As I was looking down the block, I realized I was in a tunnel and at the end of the tunnel it was snowing. I remarked that it was way too early for this type of weather.
I don't remember the transition, but next I was being dragged off by a WOW-looking thug and his androgynous thug partner. While the thug went off to battle, I was left with the androgyne, who was thenceforth trying to attack me. I was in a bit of a clearing and all I had was rocks to defend myself with. At first, I tried fighting with fists and kicks. I was able to keep my captor at bay, but it didn't seem useful for me to waste my energies in this way. I needed to vanquish the foe. Soon, I noticed a plethora of head-sized rocks at my feet. I began using them as weapons, hurling them and smashing my opponent in the head with them. It seemed that regardless of my violent abilities, nothing could truly kill this beast. My best bet would be to continue bludgeoning it until it either gave up or died.

In retrospect, I can see the symbolism of this dream quite clear. Lately I've been impeded by a painful blockage. I've been void of inspiration and even desire to create. I've been burnt out on tattooing (even though I'm in a great place and loving it completely), and finding myself wanting to focus on other things for a while. I feel that the creature I was fighting in the dream was a representation of the creative block I've had and through my bludgeoning, I was working to dislodge this block. When I woke this morning, I felt a renewed sense of creative inspiration.
