Hopping into a Pit of Death...

Standing at the edge of a wheat field, I notice that the grain has recently been cut. But there are areas that are laying down, as they would if they had been bent into a crop circle formation. I step up into the field to check it out. There is a man taking samples of the wheat and I walk closer to him. My own curiosity peaks when I remember that small nodes of metal have been found in the grain of crop formations, possibly as a clue to how they were made.
As I'm keenly searching through the folded wheat, I come across a massive hole in the ground. It's about 8 feet wide and drops down to become a dank, spooky pit. I'm curious so I drop down in. It's filled with giant boulders but there's something else here. It's filled with trash and treasure. It reminds me of the heap of trash that one might find in a hoarder's home. There are boxes and bags filled with crap, some on top, some under the boulders, and some tucked away in dark hollows around the perimeter of the pit. My cat Bisou has decided to join my investigation, despite my trying to dissuade her. She's jumped right in and she's exploring the dark recesses and getting lost in the heap of shit under my feet. One thing that becomes immediately apparent is that the whole pit is filled with black flies. Their source is unknown, but they've settled on every surface in the pit, flying around, crawling on everything, scavenging for filth and death. I find Bisou and she's covered in them, though she doesn't seem to mind. I realize that many of the boxes are filled with bones, skulls, and other random dead things. Part of me is disgusted (mostly by the flies) but the other part of me is excited beyond measure. I feel like I've come upon a hidden treasure. My collection of bones will never be so full.
As I'm stumbling through the heaps of crap, I find out that the pit is not bottom-less. Through the boulders I see a cement room with daylight pouring in. This new discovery intrigues me and I soon forget about the bones. Then the dream changes.
