Drunk off a Sip and Dancing Burlesque...

Fell back asleep (finally) and continued with the colorful dreams...
Dreamt that I was on the Ave. It was also Queen Anne Ave, at the very top of the counterbalance. There were lots of punk kids all over the place. I was in search of a tattoo shop of great notoriety. I was nervous because I didn't know any of the artists there and I was scared that they would find out I was a renegade and shun me.
I took a wrong turn somewhere and got lost in a maze of an apartment building, uncertain where I was headed and feeling guilty because I was a stranger, passing by the open windows of so many people.
I finally found my way out and when I was back out on the street, I ran into James L. He invited me over (lived very close). James' old roommate, Rob, and Donovan were hanging out there. They passed me a spliff and I took a hit. Then they passed me a woodchuck cider and I took a sip or two. Then they were off to go to Hale's Brewery to hang out and invited me along. I said sure, but when I stood up, I realized how incredibly drunk I was. I haven't been drinking or smoking for quite a while, so I think I was extra sensitive in my dream. It was even a little embarrassing, being such a light-weight. We hopped in a van and arrived. I followed them in, woozy and stumbling. As soon as we got there, I realized in my drunken stupor, I had left my wallet and everything at their house. I felt naked and powerless without my wallet, phone, keys, or hoodie. I hung out with them for a while, but then decided that I really needed my shit. Not sure how, but I went back to their place and gathered up my things. As soon as I had them back in my possession, I felt the inebriation wearing off and I felt back in control again. (There's a metaphor for ya!)
At their house, I realized there was an enormous performance space in the back room. I wandered back to take a look and discovered something amazing.
I was with a whole bunch of women (some of them my friends, some just random ladies). We had been chosen to perform a choreographed number to Gloria Gaynor's "I will survive". It was a sort of burlesque piece, and we were all hooked up with some pretty snazzy costumes. The theme for our dance troupe was that we were all plus-size women. None of us were unsettlingly large, but we all had a similar body shape. We were all a little uncomfortable getting down to our skivvies on stage, but perhaps the fact that we were all there together would help give us strength. There was a video, so we played it and simultaneously ran through the number, testing out the moves. I though it was heinously unimaginative and not very sexy for a bunch of women who needed all the help they could get. On subsequent run-throughs, I just laid down and did sit-ups. After, everyone took a break and I went through it and watched closely so I could make some changes.
We rolled up the shades throughout the space, so people could look in and see us. It felt a little scary to do so, but also really empowering.
