A Man in Cashmere with an Assault Rifle...

Near the end of the dream, I find myself in the company of a man who resembles my ex, Brandon. His energies are different though. He is calm and soothing. He wants to be near me and a few times I end up enveloped by him. He's wearing cashmere, so to the touch he's divine. I'm also wearing cashmere tights with cashmere shorts over the top, so I'm equally as soft. Every now and then I feel his hand wandering up my thigh. I like that he doesn't ask. His touch is gentle but tantalizing.
We're in a sort of marketplace with stalls and shops. I've been talking with some people about my tattoo work and showing them examples of some of my designs. I've made a couple of new clients already, and I'm about to sell a coloring book. The purchaser is ecstatic, which makes me feel good.
I'm hungry and I decide to buy some food from the cafe I'm seated in front of. I'm in line, salivating over what appears to be a pastry pocket of some kind. I'm fumbling for money, don't have enough, can't find the rest. Then I'm out at the curb, waiting for a bus. The cashmere man has rolled a spliff and we're about to smoke it. Then Susy appears. She's with another guy who I don't recognize. They invite themselves into the circle. She lights the spliff and takes her time smoking it. I'm getting impatient, as I'm the last of the four to receive it and I didn't invite the other two.
We're in a crowd and all of a sudden, the spliff is no where to be seen. I ask Susy and she says she panicked and threw it away because she saw a guy who looked like a cop. We search for it. We have flashlights so we're looking around the mess beneath people's feet. The street is littered with cigarette butts and bottles and cups. No luck. I'm pissed.
Suddenly there's unrest. Out in the street, tension rises and some anger starts to build. People are fighting and the fighting is spreading through the crowd.
I try to take refuge in a small office space. From the opposite side of the room, angry black people with guns crash through the door. I don't think they're angry with me personally, but I'm white so I'm an easy target. I feel threatened. I back out of the office space in time to slam the door, trapping them temporarily inside. I know it won't hold and I need to run somewhere fast.
Then the cashmere man is next to me with an assault rifle. One for him (bright orange) and one for me (black). He doesn't know what's going on so I grab his sleeve and we take off in the opposite direction. I'm no sure where I'm going, I'm just trying to get as far away from the street as possible. We're in a residential area, which is a maze of semi-wild backyards, all fenced in with high fences. Some are easy to scale and hop over, some are more difficult and require a bit of struggle.
I hop several but I feel like I'm not getting very far away from the street. When I look back, I'm still seen by the angry mob, so I just keep running. The man is with me, keeping pace. Even as far as we run, it never seems to be far enough. Then we come to a large structure, like a multi-level tower that some people have built in their back yard. They owners of the property have just arrived home and are getting out of their car. They see us start running up the ramp and ask what in the world we're doing. We tell them of the riots and that we're trying to hide. They are understanding and ask if we can give them a report of what we see from the top.
They live at the edge of a lake. I figure if people find us here, we'll hold them off with the guns. If they try to burn down the structure, we can just dive into the lake. I feel somewhat safe. As we continue to climb, it gets darker and more shadowed near the top. I'm pretty sure no one saw us start to climb, which means we'll be able to effectively hide here.
One level from the top, I run across a sleeping bag. I'm incredibly thankful because I find myself suddenly very tired. My only desire in the world is to be able to snuggle up into the man's softness. I can feel the texture of the cashmere on my hands as I indulge in the feeling of desire for his closeness.
At the top it's pitch black and I have to feel my way around to find an acceptable sleeping place. The top is a narrow platform with no barriers to ensure safety. I consider this as I feel around the dark. The man is behind me. We still have our guns in our hands.
