Losing Teeth...

I dreamed that I awoke. I had no idea I was dreaming, as often happens when I'm embroiled in a heinous nightmare. My teeth hurt and I couldn't close my mouth all the way. One of my molars was loose (the one I cracked two days ago, eating tortilla chips) and it was coming right out of the jaw, like when I lost teeth as a kid. I could feel that it was nearly out and there was no sense in trying to keep it in. I was groggy and really out of it as I stumbled toward the bathroom. Josh was there, as I stumbled down the hall, looking young as when we were kids together. I had blood dripping down my mouth and he asked what was wrong. I couldn't respond because in addition to the looseness of this one tooth, the one next to it was coming out as well. I got to the bathroom and spat the one out. I could see the pooling blood in the empty socket and the one behind it was so loose, though slightly still attached, I had to pull it out. I still could not close my mouth, as I discovered two other teeth on the other side of my mouth had come loose. I went into a panic, realizing that my teeth were falling out and there's nothing I could do. I was going to be one of those women who just have open gaps in my gums because I can't afford to get dental work. My gums bled and my mouth hurt, but I needed these teeth out so I could go about my life. So I twisted and pulled the two loose teeth out and then tried to figure out what to do next. Josh seemed sympathetic, but had to go to work so he was packing up to leave. I went back into my bedroom to discover that in the short time I'd been gone, someone had moved in and set it up like a tool shed. Every surface was covered in tools and I wouldn't be able to sleep there any more. I was depressed and angry about my teeth and now I didn't even have a bedroom. Thankfully, Dan came home and slid into bed and in waking, I bit down and found that my teeth were all in place and in good working order. The sense of relief was amazing! I almost laughed out loud with joy.
