Though most of it is gone now, I figured I have to get down what I can before it's totally gone.
I was at my childhood house, and was supposed to be going to sleep but I was distracted and just couldn't relax enough to go to bed. I sat up and looked outside, into the back yard. The yard was overgrown and filled with junk. In the far corner, however, on a huge wooden cable spool (also overgrown) was our new printer. I was aghast that I had been so forgetful and instead of bringing it indoors, as I was supposed to do, I forgot it out in the elements. It was sprinkling ever so slightly, so I jumped up and went into the back yard to rescue it. Once I reached it, I found it incredibly difficult to get the right angle to reach it and manage its weight. Around the pedestal was sharp barbed wire and also piles of dog shit. I was grossed out and definitely didn't want to go near the shit. But it was everywhere and making it hard to get close to the printer. Then, out of the underbrush (maybe even out of the ground) came a snake. It was a garter snake, but it was much larger than life size and it seemed to want to slither right at me, no matter where I moved. I backed away from it but then more came. There was a huge one - the size of a small boa constrictor - that came out of the ground and, along with the others, just wanted to come straight at me. I had a large piece of wood in my hands and I tried to stave them off with it. I found it most helpful to drag the stick on the ground in a circle around me, which averted all the snakes as they were coming at me.
Later in the dream, I was hanging out in the back yard, which was now the kickin' it spot. There were a bunch of people and we were listening to music and tokin' it up. Snoop Dogg was there and he was challenging me to a friendly battle of "who's a better free-style rapper". I stood there while he got up in my face and tried to spit rhymes. But his flow was wack. He was too stoned and couldn't follow his own thoughts. I didn't need to do anything but just stand there and watch him make a fool of himself in front of me and all the people there. I didn't even have to prove myself. He did it for me by proving himself a fool.
