I am at a giant festival. It is a beautiful green field site on rolling hills. There are many fields lovingly being created without any kind of commercial vibe. The look and feel is kind of Glastonbury meets Symbiosis meets Oregon Country Fair.
I am creating an outdoor chill out field with Chris Wizard from Gaia Chill. We are putting in place a giant sound system with four corners facing inwards. It looks like a very old school sound...like Jah Shaka or Channel One. There are many flagpoles and great decor around us...a combination of traditional UK festival flags like you see in the Green Fields at Glastonbury, but with really awesome visionary art banners too.
There is also a huge dome venue on site, an indoor space capable of holding thousands of people that looks like a giant 1930's art deco cinema in white stucco, but is actually a festival stage inside. The festival is just about to open and the vibe is electric on site. Everyone seems to be on the same level, all are creative participants.
I hear that my friends Peaking Goddess Collective are going to be opening. I excitedly head towards the imposing dome building/stage. Inside there is a massive sound stage, perhaps 120' across and PGC are set up and ready to play. I am standing at the centre of the stage right at the front. People are filling in around me. Everyone is expectant. The energy is super positive.
PGC get off to a rolling start, the mix is super clean and the light show really pro. They are really building a vibe and getting into the zone when from the back of stage, about 60 people from a gospel choir dressed in white choir robes with red fleur de Lys designs on them appear. They are the 'Gnostic Gospel Choir'! (I kid you not!). They are lead by a black preacher who looks a bit like the Rev. Al Sharpton. The whole energy in the place suddenly surges and the Gnostic Gospel Choir break into a powerful accompaniment to PGC is a kind of african/trance/gospel number that has everyone rocking. The preacher is soloing and I feel a kundalini wave rise up my spine, the energy is overwhelming and I find myself awakening from the dream.
I wish you all could come to the festivals in my dreams, they're awesome!
Footnote: their actually is a 'Gnostic Gospel Choir', though they look nothing like the one in my dreams and call themselves that 'lightly'! http://www.janphillips.com/singsoul.html
