Even as I type there is an ant walking up my mug, trying to get into my juice.
Last night, I dreamed that our bedroom was infested with ants- huge piles of them the size of softballs. They were huge, brown, squirming piles of bodies in a feeding frenzy. Then, as I watched them, a flood of ants started coming at the piles from all directions of the room, just swarming in lines seemingly coming from the walls.
I got the impression that the ant queen was very smart. This made me feel a little apprehensive and combative. Then I chilled it out, resolving that the ants are me and we are one, and my will is stronger of the two of us.
In the waking world, I found a small line of ants along that same wall last night. In my dream, I then woke up (still dreaming) and had a conversation with Mae (my step-mom) about my ants dream. I told her the ants were crawling all over me and she said that made sense because they probably were on my bed scouting for food sources.
Then when I actually woke up, I told George that I dreamed of ants crawling all over me and he said just about the same thing that Mae said, we replayed that conversation.
After all that ant dreaming, I stared at the small line of ants along one wall, wondering if my dream was a premonition of things to come if I didn't get them out of my room. My eyes narrowed, the clock is ticking on their time in my quarters.
I posted a cartoon picture of an ant because I really don't want to look at more ants right now. :) I feel like I have seen thousands and thousands. Plus, this cartoon image makes them seem more friendly and human, which installs a little more compassion type feelings in me.
Driving Dream in Oakland
I had another dream I can only remember tiny little clips of. I was driving around a bed or some other weird thing to be driving, and other drivers were driving funny too. One of them was driving a station wagon with a huge trailer behind it and a girl strapped to it with tons of toys. She was bound by her hands and feet, and was having a great time just laying there in the sunshine and enjoying the ride. That station wagon was driving backwards, full speed.
