I was sitting by a koi pond, in a situation where you could load up paintings into your reality and enter them. The koi pond/lake scene was a painting that I had loaded into reality. I was eyeing a beautifully done watercolor image of a mountain at night with dark blue into purple background, I think I wanted to go there next. The style of the paintings were japanese, and featured smooth, well chosen coloring and lines. Contrast in only the most relevant tones.
I was cutting up Kegan's dad's navy shirt to include part of it in something I was making. I was gathering up fabric for some sort of collage of who I was. The stack of fabric I had in my hand in it's completed sculptural form would be used to judge my personality and very self in a glance. Other women around me were doing that same thing.
I was sitting in Nina's bathroom playing with kitties, there were kittens there, a fresh batch the second time I sat down. I was playing with the kittens and enjoying looking at them. I was gathering them together to also include them in a new painting. I was making a painting of kittens and cats in nina's bathroom, I had just decided to do it. I think i scanned them somehow with my brain and then they could be included. I was considering whether or not it was okay to make paintings of kittens, and decided it was just fine because I loved them and wanted to honor them.
I was sitting in a car after it rained. Near a ship. I had been walking with 3 men. They were all friends, and we were dressed in dark tones. I had the sensation I was on some sort of date with all three of them. I remember waiting outside the door in the rain to be let in the car. There was a sports field to my left and parking lot to my right, as I walked down the path towards the car.
I was in a classroom setting like my elemenetary school. It was a few minutes before lunch when I walked into the cafeteria and the lunch ladies said I better have a pass. I was in a locker room with a guy who was hanging up virtual pictures of guys, in the ladies locker room. The pictures were of faculty and staff, and I remember squinting my eyes and wondering if it was PC for them to come into our space and hang their idols for us to swoon over, presumably.
A teacher came in and said he had failed a little kid on a project- said better he fail now and learn how to deal with that instead of float through life with the kid gloves on. At first I defended the boy, sensing injustice, and then I spent a good long while thinking at the situation, questioning the merit of the teacher's strategy. He suggested that the boy needed to fall down regularly so he knew how to get back up. I woke up considering that same frame of mind, and still feel it within me.
