Dreamt I was in a forest-village with many of my friends and acquaintances. There was a science lab in one of the areas of the forest, with picnic tables near it for eating lunch. I walked over to see how work was going, and one of my friends whispered in my ear "We've invented a drug that can shrink humans to one-inch tall for 5 hours. We make it with this technology (showing me a crystal with etches on the side). These etches are ancient, and we've only just discovered that, this particular crystal, makes this shrinking drug. See that little 3 inch archway in the brush? That's where we're been building our secret dwelling where we go when we're small. Do you want to try it?"
I ofcourse said yes, and I was told to return in about an hour. Upon returning, I noticed many of my other friends were there - many of which in real life are in bands that my band I has played shows with. We were all excited, and then we were given tiny pieces of what looked like a mushroom to eat. I laughed and asked if this was Alice in Wonderland, and if I ate the other side, if I'd grow taller ;) Then, with caution, I began nibbling parts of the mushroom.
At first I only shrunk about 2 feet, but then I noticed others around me had eaten there's quicker and were already shrunk down fully. This gave me the confidence to go ahead and eat the rest. I remember thinking how odd it was that my clothing shrunk with me.
When I was only 1-inch tall, I made a dash for the small archway to catch up with my friends, and upon entering I realized it looked like a cave with trains and mining shafts. As I walked the trails lined by cliffs, rooms would open up, decorated in all different styles - some futuristic, some turn of the century. It was as if they had invented a time machine that you had to shrink to get in to.
Eventually, after hours of exploration, everyone began to grow again and we realized we needed to leave the area before we got too big. As we ran out back to the picnic tables, we were laughing and discussing how amazing that was. There were more people I knew standing at the tables, including some of my instructors from the Kripalu institute where in real life I went to study yoga a few months ago. I told the instructors about what we had just done, and they looked amazed, wanting to join me, so I brought them some of the mushroom pieces, and once we shrunk, went back inside.
The mining shaft once again led to many different rooms and scenes. Eventually, there was an opening that led to the giant hilltop surrounding the Kripalu Institute. I climbed the hill with my instructors for a bit, and then sat down with my partner Ammon on the hillside as they continued their climb to go into the building. Sitting with Ammon, I had a letter in my hand from the Kripalu scholarship board. I have (in real life) applied for a scholarship for JourneyDance training at Kripalu, and in my dream I held my breath as I opened the letter to see if I got it. The letter said I was denied, and I got angry. I marched up the hill into what looked like a school library at Kripalu and asked them in an angry tone, just how far in advance one has to apply for scholarships if they are indeed first come first serve - a year? The man behind the counter seemed nervous, so I explained my situation further, and then stormed off. I remember taking an apple and smashing it on the ground. Calming down, I then returned to the desk. There was a woman standing next to me who implied that if I was acting like a child that much, it must mean I really wanted the training badly, at which point I turned to the desk and told them to not worry about it and that I would wait until spring to take YogaDance with Megha anyway (which I was (am) equally excited to do).
This is where the dream ended.
