The entire dream takes place in a large, grey, concrete industrial building filled with high ceilings, old pipes, dark hallways, and dusty corners. I am leaving one of the giant rooms... told to go get my keyboards to come back for a performance. I close the big dirty dented metals doors behind me and walk into a wide industrial hallway expanse filled with more dusty pipes on the walls. I walk down concrete stairs. A bed is right outside the door in the hallway. I walk with two young girls to go get my boards. We walk through endless dark and dusty hallways until we find my keyboards piled up along the wall, but two of them are missing. Only the NORD bags remain... empty. I grab the two remaining keyboards, and as we walk back to the main room through the dark and dusty corridors, we start singing "It's a Hard Enough Life" from Little Orphan Annie.
As we return to the doorway to the giant main room of the factory where I am to perform, the girls run ahead and stand on either side of the bed in the hall at the entranceway. They both caution me not to come closer "Don't come here, or it'll get you!!" they say.
"What will get me?" I reply back with a smirk of disbelief as I walk up to the bed.
The bed is apparently mine. It's old, with creaky metal springs, and dirty looking white sheets on top of the old mattress.
As if to prove my point to the two little girls that there is nothing under the mattress, I stand on top of it, and with a gentle bounce announce "See? Its fine! :) "
At that moment, transparent wisps of "emotional energy" begin to emerge from under the bed, gently swirling around my ankles. I kick them away "See?" I say "It's nothing I can't handle". The tendrils begin to come out further, wrapping around my legs "It's fine!!" I shout, batting them away with my hands. Eventually the tendrils rise up to shoulder height and grab a hold of my torso, arms, legs "I. Will. Hold. My. GROUND!!!!" I command to the tendrils, as they engulf me, covering my neck, face, and mouth "IT'S GOT ME!!!!" I shout, but not able to move my mouth to truly pronounce the words, I shoot up in bed in real life, yelling the inarticulate words aloud.
