Light From my Hands Blinding the Owl Statues

It was dark. I heard the sound of waves crashing on the shore and felt the chilly waters wash over me with each wave. I was laying face down in sand and felt incredibly weary. I managed to get to my feet and slowly make my way along the beach.
After a while of walking I noticed a small light in the distance. So, I walked towards it. Getting closer, I noticed that it was a torch sitting in some kind of bracket and there was a scruffy looking man sitting beneath it. He looked up at me with a scowl and asked who I was. I told him that I had managed to escape a massacre back on the island that I was from. My family was all dead, but I was the daughter of a long line of chieftains and because my father had no son to pass on his lineage, I would be the one to come into power.

He looked at me with a wicked grin... gross teeth... rotting and black. He told me that he would help me and that I was to follow him. So I did.

We walked through the night and ended up coming to this giant house. I remember walking up a long flight of rickety wooden stairs. When we came to the first landing we went into a room lit by a fire. Many men... all with the same appearance of this man... ragged, dirty and hungry.

They all looked at me wickedly. I became scared. The man who brought me here had left and come back with another man following him. This other man looked completely different from the rest. He dressed in fine robes and was clean cut. He was the man in charge of the band of thieves. He looked me up and down and asked many questions about where I came from. I told him what I could and he seemed quite pleased. He wrapped his arm around me and took me outside into this circle. Torches lit the area. It looked like some kind of ritual area. I was surrounded by these tall statues...each topped off with an owl figure. The owl statues started to awaken and their eyes started to glow a green blue color. I became scared and shouted out. I held up my hands in fear and a bright light shot out of them. I blinded the owl statues and they exploded. The man stood to the side and smiled.

The dream skips ahead and the next thing I recall is trying to escape the rich man. I remember crawling through mud under a wire fence with barking dogs following me. I almost got away, but he found me and had me dragged back to a dungeon-like place.
The dungeon was filled with sea water and held dead bodies. This is where the men who betrayed him went. He stood behind me. I grew very angry and threw out my hands. I called out and was able to control the water. My anger grew and the waves grew. I wanted to make him afraid, but instead I heard the man laughing behind me. I turned to look at him and he had a look of childish fascination on his face. He clapped his hands and told me that he had waited for me. He told me that I was going to become his wife.

I woke up. Got a drink of water and laid back down.

I don't really remember drifting off again, but the next thing I knew I was in a market place. It was dry and sandy... some kind of desert town.
I was scared and trying to find a place to hide. I ran into a house and asked a woman if there was somewhere that I could go. She nodded and gave me a knowing smile. "This is a house for only the witch women. You are welcome to hide."
She brought me to her bedroom and told me to go under the bed, as far back as I could.
Somehow I could see the outside room. The man came into the house. He looked angry and demanded that I come out. The woman looked up at him and asked him what he wanted. He said that he knew this was a safe house for witches and that I was somewhere in the building. She shook her head and told him that he was misinformed. This wasn't a house for witches... it was simply a house for widows and that he should leave. He looked like he was going to hit her, but instead threw the giant reed containers that stood behind the doorway. He broke a mirror and smashed anything that got in his way.

My daughter woke me up and I got her a drink of water. I wondered if the dream was going to continue again. I fell asleep.

The dream did continue... but it was as if a lot of time had gone by. I remember seeing myself... I had big white streaks in my hair and deep crows feet by my eyes. I was tired. I was standing beside the man and he too had aged greatly. He had his arm tightly grasped around my shoulder and I had my head hung. A ring sat on my finger. I had given up and he finally had me.
