I took a short trip to another country (unknown) and then got on a plane to go back home to the U.S.A.
I had met a man who was traveling with me. He was unfamiliar, a tall skinny guy with pale face and dark hair. He was very mellow and relaxed, and seemed to be there just to be there, as a friend. We got on the plane together, and he sat down on my right side. On my left side was the plane window.
When I looked out, the window appeared to stretch out so that I could see the sky all around me, endless blue with transparent white clouds. As we were ascending, I felt a bit nervous, and closed my eyes for a second. When I opened them, the plane windows had transformed into colorful stained glass windows, in red, turquoise blue and white or pale grey. They had abstract patterns, with some swirling flower petals. I just observed this without questioning it.
I felt the plane slowly tipping over sideways on the left side, and then the front end slowly tipped straight downward. I heard voices shouting in my ears. It sounded like the other passengers were screaming in terror as we were crashing.
I closed my eyes again, and when I opened them, the plane had softly landed and we were back at the airport where we had started out. The pilot emerged and gave an announcement, admitting that we almost crashed, but he had fixed the problem. So we could attempt the flight again. He sounded confident, but I did not want to go in the air again. I felt paralyzed in my seat, and felt a lot of tension in my chest, as my heart was pounding. Very scary.
