Trying to get toe work in a new science facility to which I've applied. I've been traveilng around to juggling festivals with a big group, but this internship pulls me away so I hop the bus with a few colleagues and get moving.
We get kind of lost or behind and one of my cohorts says he knows the fastest way. He takes us into an airport in the city - some tiny place behind a big roll-up door. I suspect we're getting on a helicopter, since there's no way any other vehicle could launch from this densely-packed urban area; my colleague is rubbing his hands with our good luck at being close to the airport, which is apparently owned by his friends.
We get inside and the place is ultra-sketchy; we walk in through a giant rolling garage door, which slams shut behind us, leaving us in a concrete room filled with Asian men in suits. For our security check, one man demands, almost angrily, that we line up and face the wall. We can all see a turboprop outside in a concrete yard. Another guy, maybe some kind of ringleader, starts throwing throwing knives past our heads into a dartboard that we're all looking at. We're all a bit scared, but then it turns into a lesson; he's handing out really complicated knives, these weird Escher-looking things covered in sharp edges, so sharp that you can't hold them without cutting yourself. We all fumble with the things, trying to figure out how to hold them as we all fling them toward the wall.
