there is some tv show called something like, "who thinks their room has the best design" or something cheesy.
andrea and i are roommates, and she wants try out for this show, because i think you should free furniture and nice things if your stylish room wins.
we spend the day cleaning and making it pretty. everything is in rainbow order, left to right it is red to purple/pink. i'm not sure. we even have our clothes out and visable, which seems ironic since the point is to present a clean, stylish room..and having clothes everywhere doesn't seem clean, haha.
anyway, we finish and the guy comes and evaluates. he digs what we have done and we win! he mentions something about our furniture and things will need to be escorted out of the room, through the window and that we may not have access to all our things for a few days, whlie they move in the new furniture, i am annoyed about that part.
andrea is excited and she also shares she is going to move to europe in december, instead of hawaii. i kind of want to go with her b/c she is fun!
A symbol of individuality—of private thoughts. The windows symbolize the possibility of understanding and of passing through to the external and
the beyond, and are also an illustration of any idea of communication. Hence, a
closed room lacking windows may be symbolic of virginity, according to Frazer,
and also of other kinds of non-communication. Many rites involving the
enclosureimage are performed to mark the reaching of puberty, all over the world.
The legend about Danae, shut up by her father in a bronze tower, pertains to this
particular symbolism. There is a Siberian legend concerning a ‘dark house of iron’
which is also relevant to it (21). We might also mention the ‘vase with a lid’, one
of the eight emblems of good luck in Chinese Buddhism, and a symbol of wholeness, of the idea with no ‘exit’, or, in other words, of supreme intelligence triumphant over birth and death (signified respectively by the doors and windows of
the room) (5). This explains why the hermetically sealed room may possibly be
a variant form of the ‘vase with a lid’.

The wearing of skins by the Roman eagle-bearers appears to be of
totemic origin. Without attempting to establish any theoretical connexion between a Sacher-Masoch’s concept of ‘skins’ and their habitual use by women,

panther) or a multicoloured or shot fabric are symbols of the Whole (the god Pan).

especially when it is located at the top of a tower, by analogy with the head of the
