There were several parts of this trippy dream / nightmare.
So the dream sort of starts off where I hear this fast hammering sounds and a woman screaming for her life. I walk over to see what it was and this man slicing off a woman's limb. I can't remember if it was her arm or leg. The limb was already cut off and replaced with a prosthetic one. I can tell her limb was removed before and he is abusing her again. It was hard to watch...there wasn't as much blood as I thought it would be. The abuser looked like the Joker (Heath Ledger) but his hair was black instead of green and he was wearing very dark and ripped up clothing. He also carried a blade that gets larger. There were about 5 other girls that were abused and they looked scared and they were keeping their distance from him. I think a few were running for their lives.
The joker guy was pretty psychotic and thought very irrationally. He believed that it was his duty to punish criminals or anyone that did something even slightly unlawful. His form of punishment was throwing blades at them and chopping off their limbs. I hated when he approached me because I was afraid he was going to attack me but I don't think he got me. He was always attacking other convicts and I remember thinking he should add child molesters to his list.
Another part of the dream I was a geisha girl and I was having a sword fight with two other geisha girls. I think I lost. 2 of us were destined to die but I can't remember if anyone died. This part of the dream probably happened 2 or 3 times.
Later in the dream I was in this psychedelic club. There were a lot of decorations hanging from the ceiling and I was swinging on them as if I were in the jungle. I think this was supposed to keep me from being attacked from the joker guy and the girls her were trying to sword fight me. I know that doesn't make sense but it did in the dream.
I'm down in Florida right now and in one part of the dream I was back in New Jersey and in my mom's room. My mom asked me why I'm back so soon and I said I'm just back for the weekend. Of course, that doesn't make sense considering the real cost of a plane ticket.
To see a geisha in your dream, represents beauty, charm, poise and grace.
To dream that you are a geisha, indicates that you are well-balanced in your personal, social, and professional life. You adjust well in various situations.

The sword is in essence composed of a blade and a guard; it is
therefore a symbol of ‘conjunction’, especially when, in the Middle Ages, it takes
on the form of a cross. Among many primitive peoples it was the object of much
veneration. The Scythians used to make an annual sacrifice of several horses to
the blade of a sword, which they conceived as a god of war. Similarly, the Romans
believed that iron, because of its association with Mars, was capable of warding
off evil spirits (8). The belief still persists in Scotland (21). Founders of cities, in
the ancient Che-King tales of China, wear swords (7). As a religious symbol, it is
still in use as part of the ceremonial dress of oriental bishops. Its primary symbolic meaning, however, is of a wound and the power to wound, and hence of
liberty and strength. Schneider has shown that, in megalithic culture, the sword is
the counterpart of the distaff, which is the feminine symbol of the continuity of
life. The sword and the distaff symbolize, respectively, death and fertility—the
two opposites which constitute the basic symbolism of the mountain (Schneider
suggests that in the animal world the equivalents are the phallic fish and the frog)
(50). Furthermore, given the cosmic sense of sacrifice (that is, the inversion of the
implied realities of the terrestrial and the celestial orders), the sword is then seen
as a symbol of physical extermination and psychic decision (60), as well as of the spirit and the word of God, the latter being a particularly common symbol during
the Middle Ages (4). In this connexion, Bayley draws attention to the interesting
relationship between the English words sword and word. There can be no doubt
that there is a sociological factor in sword-symbolism, since the sword is an
instrument proper to the knight, who is the defender of the forces of light against
the forces of darkness. But the fact is that in rites at the dawning of history and
in folklore even today, the sword plays a similar spiritual rôle, with the magic
power to fight off the dark powers personified in the ‘malevolent dead’, which is
why it always figures in apotropaic dances. When it appears in association with
fire and flames—which correspond to it in shape and resplendence—it symbolizes purification. Schneider bears this out with his comment that whereas purification goes with fire and the sword, punishment goes with the lash and the club
(51). In alchemy, the sword is a symbol for purifying fire. The golden sword—
Chrysaor in Greek mythology—is a symbol for supreme spiritualization (15).
The Western type of sword, with its straight blade, is, by virtue of its shape, a
solar and masculine symbol. The Oriental sword, being curved, is lunar and
feminine. Here one must recall the general meaning of weapons, which is the
antithesis of the monster. The sword, because of its implication of ‘physical
extermination’, must be a symbol of spiritual evolution, just as the tree is of
involution; that is, the tree stands for the development of life within matter and
activity. This dualism between the spirit on the one hand and life on the other was
resolved by Ludwig Klages, for his part, by opting for life, but Novalis has well
expressed the contrary opinion with his observation that ‘life is an infirmity of
the spirit’. It is a duality which is well illustrated by the opposing characteristics
of wood (which is feminine) and metal. If the tree corresponds to the process of
proliferation, then the sword represents the inverse. At least Conrad Dinckmut’s
Seelen Wurzgarten (Ulm, 1483), like many other similar works, has a 15thcentury illustration of Christ with a branch or a tree on the left side of his face,
whereas symmetrically opposite there is a sword. This association of the sword
with the tree is of great antiquity: we ourselves have seen a prehistoric Germanic
relief depicting two figures, one being feminine and bearing a branch, the other
masculine, with a sword. One may also see here an allegory of War and Peace;
certainly the mediaeval illustration may allude to the olive branch, but there is
nothing of this in the Germanic relief. Evola maintains that the sword is related to
Mars, but with additional vertical—and horizontal—symbolisms, alluding, that
is, to life and death. It is also linked with steel as a symbol of the transcendent
toughness of the all-conquering spirit. To quote from Emilio Sobejano, Swords of
Spain, in Arte Español, XXI (1956): ‘Among the Germanic races, as Livy observed, the sword was at no time very common; on the contrary, it served as a
symbol befitting high command and the loftiest rank; one only has to think of the
dignity and pomp which characterized the institution of the Comes Spatharius,
created by the Emperor Gordian the Younger around the year 247. . . . The sword
is almost exclusively the prerogative of high dignitaries. There is an Arabic tradition to the effect that it was the Hebrews who invented the sword, and that the
place where it was first made—a tragic sign of how the idea first came into the
world—was mount Casium, on the outskirts of Damascus, which was to become
famous throughout Islam on account of its steel, and where, according to the
ancient belief, Cain slew his brother. There, by an accident of fate, settled the first
artificers of the newly invented weapon.’ The sword of fire bears testimony to
the intrinsic relationship between the symbols of the sword, steel (or iron), Mars
and fire, all of which have a ‘common rhythm’. On the other hand, it emphasizes
the heat of the flame and the coldness of the bare metal; hence, the sword of fire
is a symbol implying an ambivalent synthesis, like the volcano (gelat et ardet),
and also a symbol of the weapon which severs Paradise (the realm of the fire of
love) from earth (the world of affliction).
To dream that you wear a sword, indicates that you will fill some public position with honor.
To have your sword taken from you, denotes your vanquishment in rivalry.
To see others bearing swords, foretells that altercations will be attended with danger.
A broken sword, foretells despair.
To dream that you are wielding a sword, represents your strength, ambition, competitive nature decisiveness and willpower. You are looking to hold a position of prestige, authority, and distinction. Alternatively, the sword may be seen as a phallic symbol and thus represent masculine power.

All combats are the expression of a conflict of some sort. A great many
fights, dances and simulacra are rites, or the vestiges of rites, which express
situations of conflict. In Sweden, according to Eliade, combats are enacted on
horseback by two sets of riders personifying winter and summer. Usener ascribed
a similar meaning to the combat between Xanthos and Melanthos—the fair one
and the dark one. On the other hand, the struggle may correspond to the primordial, cosmogonic sacrifice, such as the sacrifice of Tiamat (or Tiawath) by Marduk.
Struggles between the gods of vegetation and of drought (such as Osiris and Set)
or between good and evil (Ahuramazda and Ahriman or Angramainyu, for example) modify the plane of conflict accordingly. Broadly speaking, the struggle is
that of generation or involves antithetically opposed elements (17). For our part,
we would suggest that the combats of Roman gladiators reflected an ancestral,
mythic and symbolic background with the retiarius (or net-fighter) as the counterpart of Neptune and Pisces (symbolic of the celestial ocean, and the all-embracing god armed with the trident, as a sign of triple power, and with the net);
likewise, the mirmillo was Cancer (the sun, or the son armed with a sword).
To dream that you engage in a fight, denotes that you will have unpleasant encounters with your business opponents, and law suits threaten you.
To see fighting, denotes that you are squandering your time and money.
For women, this dream is a warning against slander and gossip.
For a young woman to see her lover fighting, is a sign of his unworthiness.
To dream that you are defeated in a fight, signifies that you will lose your right to property.
To whip your assailant, denotes that you will, by courage and perseverance, win honor and wealth in spite of opposition.
To dream that you see two men fighting with pistols, denotes many worries and perplexities, while no real loss is involved in the dream, yet but small profit is predicted and some unpleasantness is denoted.
To dream that you are on your way home and negroes attack you with razors, you will be disappointed in your business, you will be much vexed with servants, and home associations will be unpleasant.
To dream that you are fighting negroes, you will be annoyed by them or by some one of low character.
A symbol which is the inversion of sword-symbolism. It is associated
with vengeance and death, but also with sacrifice (8). The short blade of the knife
represents, by analogy, the primacy of the instinctive forces in the man wielding
it, whereas the long blade of the sword illustrates the spiritual height of the
swordsman.
To dream that you are carrying a knife, signifies anger, aggression and/or separation. There may be something in your life that you need to cut out and get rid of. Perhaps you need to cut ties or sever some relationship. Be more divisive. Alternatively, a knife refers to some sexual tension or sexual confrontation.
If the knife is dull, then it denotes that your hard work will result in little or no gain.
To dream that you are wounded by a knife, is symbolic of masculine or animalistic aggression.
To see an electric knife in your dream, indicates your power to get down to the truth of a situation quickly.
To dream of a knife is bad for the dreamer, as it portends separation and quarrels, and losses in affairs of a business character.
To see rusty knives, means dissatisfaction, and complaints of those in the home, and separation of lovers.
Sharp knives and highly polished, denotes worry.
Foes are ever surrounding you.
Broken knives, denotes defeat whatever the pursuit, whether in love or business.
To dream that you are wounded with a knife, foretells domestic troubles, in which disobedient children will figure largely. To the unmarried, it denotes that disgrace may follow.
To dream that you stab another with a knife, denotes baseness of character, and you should strive to cultivate a higher sense of right.
Dreaming that you are carrying a knife means anger, aggression and/or separation. There may be something in your life that you need to cut out and get rid of. Seeing a dull knife in your dream indicates that your hard work is accompanied by little or no gain. Dreaming that you are wounded by a knife, suggests that you or someone is affected by hurtful remarks or malicious gossip. Seeing an electric knife in your dream indicates your power to get down to the truth of a situation quickly.
To dream that you attack someone, represents pent-up frustration and anger. You feel that you have been wronged. Your dream serves as an easy and safe way to express your anger.
To dream that you are being attacked by someone, indicates your character is being questioned. You feel the need to defend yourself. You are feeling stressed, vulnerable and helpless. You may also be facing with difficult changes in your waking life. Dreaming of an attack provides a way for you to confront these situations that you may be avoiding in real life.
To dream that you are being attacked by an animal, is a warning to be careful with those around you. Take notice of who you know in your waking life that shares and exhibits the same qualities of the animal that attacked you in your dream.
To dream that you kill an attacking animal, suggests that you are going against your instincts or gut feeling.
Always be careful for a period of time (several weeks) after such a dream because it is a warning. If the attacker in your dream is an animal, watch out for that type of a animal, but also notice how some people act like animals. If you dream that you have attacked someone, that is also a warning that your ill mood or temper fits may cause you to harm another and bring chaos down on your head. If you are attacked by someone you know you may have to withstand an attack on your character and defend your honor, so to speak. If you are attacked by an animal be very careful of walking the dark streets or putting your self in the places where you could possibly be attacked by a mugger, etc.. If you dream that you repel your attacker then you will meet with success in your current endeavor, and if you kill an attacking animal then will your life will be saved by a stranger.
To understand your dream, consider all of its details and think about whether you are the attacker or the victim. If you are being attacked, then maybe you are feeling somewhat vulnerable in some area of your daily life. If you are doing the attacking, it may be that you are releasing some of your frustrations and anger while expressing negative feelings in such ways that you are unable to do in daily life.
Theories of evolutionary biology say that dreams of being attacked, whether by another person or by an animal, are designed to teach you how to defend yourself if you are attacked in waking life.
To see the joker card in your dream, indicates endless possibilities. You can be anything you want if you set your mind to it.
To see a girl in your dream, represents your playful, innocent, and childlike nature. Perhaps you are behaving immaturely in some situation. Alternatively, a girl represents the feminine qualities of your character.
To dream about a girl that you just met, represents your anxieties and thoughts of whether you had made a good impression on her and what she thought of you. If she told you that she disliked you in the dream, then it may be an excuse for you to dismiss her and not pursue a relationship further.
To dream of seeing a well, bright-looking girl, foretells pleasing prospects and domestic joys. If she is thin and pale, it denotes that you will have an invalid in your family, and much unpleasantness.
For a man to dream that he is a girl, he will be weak-minded, or become an actor and play female parts.
To see a tree limb in your dream, symbolizes the relationship and communication between you and your family or relatives. Alternatively, the limb represents your developing abilities and budding talents. Consider the thickness and condition of the limb. The dream may also be a metaphor that you are "going on out on a limb". The odds are working against you.
If the limb refers to a body part, then look at the significance of the specific limb.
To remember something in your dream, indicates that you have learned something significant from your past mistakes or previous experiences. The dream may also serve as a reminder of something important that is occurring in your waking life. You are so worried that you will forget something that the preoccupation has made its way into your dream.
In anthropology, woman corresponds to the passive principle of
nature. She has three basic aspects: first, as a siren, lamia or monstrous being who
enchants, diverts and entices men away from the path of evolution; second, as the
mother, or Magna mater (the motherland, the city or mother-nature) related in
turn to the formless aspect of the waters and of the unconscious; and third, as the
unknown damsel, the beloved or the anima in Jungian psychology. In his Symbols
of Transformation, Jung maintains that the ancients saw Woman as either Eve,
Helen, Sophia or Mary (corresponding to the impulsive, the emotional, the intellectual, and the moral) (33). One of the purest and all-embracing archetypes of
Woman as anima is Beatrice in Dante’s Commedia (32). All allegories based upon
the personification of Woman invariably retain all the implications of the three
basic aspects mentioned above. Of great interest are those symbols in which the
Woman appears in association with the figure of an animal—for example, the
swan-woman in Celtic and Germanic mythology, related to the woman with the
hoof of a goat in Hispanic folklore. In both cases the woman disappears once her
maternal mission has been completed and, similarly, the virgin qua virgin ‘dies’ in order to give way to the matron (31). In iconography it is common to find parts
of the female figure combined with that of a lion. The Egyptian goddess Sekhmet,
characterized by her destructiveness, had the body of a woman and the head (and
therefore the mind) of a lion. Conversely, a figure with a lion’s body and a
woman’s head appears in the Hieroglyphica of Valeriano as an emblem of the
hetaira (39). The inclusion of feminine, morphological elements in the composition of traditional symbols such as the sphinx always alludes to a background of
nature overlaid with the projection of a concept or of an entire complex of cosmic
intuitions. In consequence, the Woman is an archetypal image of great complexity
in which the decisive factor may be the superimposed symbolic aspects—for
example, the superior aspects of Woman as Sophia or Mary determine her function as a personification of science or of supreme virtue; and when presented as
an image of the anima, she is superior to the man because she is a reflection of the
loftiest and purest qualities of the man. In her baser forms as Eve or as Helen—
the instinctive and emotional aspects—Woman is on a lower level than the man.
It is here, perhaps, that she appears at her most characteristic—a temptress, the
Ewig Weibliche, who drags everything down with her, and a symbol comparable
with the volatile principle in alchemy, signifying all that is transitory, inconsistent, unfaithful and dissembling. See also The Loved One and Sophia.
To see a woman in your dream, represents nurturance, passivity, caring nature, and love. It refers to your own female aspects or your mother. Alternatively, a woman indicates temptation and guilt. If you know the woman, then it may reflect concerns and feelings you have about her.
To see an old woman in your dream, indicates your concerns about aging and growing old. Alternatively, the old woman may be an archetypal figure to symbolize feminine power.
To see a group of women talking in your dream, refers to some gossip.
To see a pregnant women in your dream, symbolizes abundant wealth.

A woman or women generally represent intuition, creativity, nurturing, and love. At times they can also represent the negative attributes that are given to women and include physical and emotional weakness, gossip, martyrdom, passivity, moodiness, temptation, and guilt. The content of the dream is to be considered, as well as the emotional tone. If the dream is sexual in nature, look up sex. If the woman in your dream was a stranger and you are a man, she could be symbolic of your feminine side or your attitude about women. If you are a woman, this stranger may be symbolic of different parts of your character or personality. The woman is that force or current inside of you that nudges you on and inspires you. It is your intuition and the knowledge that in not necessarily attached to words.
