“The Bad Witch” Re-examined

Night of September 7, 2015. Monday.

Rather than diligently editing my original version of “The Bad Witch” and making it too large and convoluted, I am adding this record primarily for my own summarizing, with the appreciation of how these newer decoding breakthroughs have been coming “fast and furious” (for about two years now) and leave me more in awe of dreams and the Source behind certain types of dreams than ever before. It does not take much these days to receive inspiration and a breakthrough of meanings and influences from even the oldest dreams. These days, I can recheck and validate things I could not have in such a manner just a few years ago and I am finding more and more extraordinary and unexplainable synchronicity (other than perhaps from 1991 to 1994 which was a whole new level of life and perspective). I discovered more to this dream by examining the March 16th thread (which I will do a four-part series on one day, I hope, along with others, including April 9th).

Firstly, there was something about the fairytale-like setting and opening of “The Bad Witch” that left me puzzled. This was one of those very long and “on and off” dreams that seemed to have numerous (though seemingly consciously unrealized) “resets” and replays. It turns out the most vivid and first version of this dream was on March 16th, 1978. Looking at numerous documents, I did not find any specific possible influence for it; a fairly rare outcome. For whatever reason, I was somewhat annoyed by not pinpointing the source of influence. Then, by chance, I fully worked it out.

My dream’s foundation seems to have been constructed by very old childhood memories; a uniform composite of “Miss Suzy” by Miriam Young and “Old Black Witch” by Wende and Harry Devlin. Somehow I brought together both books and stories (which I had not read or seen since around age seven) into one foundation. This is even more curious in that even “Suzy” is relevant (as my wife’s first letter to me was written on March 16, 1991, using the shortened form of her name - “Suzi”).

As already stated several times in older entries, my dream girl’s name was usually a variation of Susannah or Suzi (although a couple people thought of it as being “influenced” by Susan R, but this turned out to be incorrect). She was born on a Friday the thirteenth and in September, and my wife (upon first contacting me) already somehow “knew” all this; more than just “love at first sight”, but something far more. The identical drawings she and Susan did in the real world (while on different continents and never meeting) is only a tiny part of it. People could say that naturally Friday the thirteenth is a “logical” birth date for a witch, or that September comes from my fresh start of a new grade in school each year, but regardless of influence, each resolution is met with strong additional evidence, continuously for me, though I still have no clue over the mechanism, assuming it all takes place in higher (spiritual) dimensions, or at least otherwise hidden causal “realms” as I strongly suspect.

I have already included my decoding for the previously bewildering “flying license plate” scene from this dream in another entry as well as adding it to my original. Again, I have come to clearly see it as a metaphor for contact through the post office by sending a letter. (Again, rectangular shape, having numbers on the surface, and going from one person to another. Even the license plate rotating once in the air before reaching the vehicle in front of it suggests coming from the “other side” of the world.) I also apparently was already “erasing” Brenda W as the confirmed “stand-in” for my wife-to-be, in that in this dream, the character was probably only about ten percent Brenda and ninety percent “mystery girl” (which otherwise turned out to be visually correct when “she” was at a hundred percent, even in dreams from the 1960s) - though Brenda did appear briefly in the main blue sun dream.

One thing about this dream was how long the “intro” and back story seemed (or seemed to imply). It was as if, at one point, I had been aware of this unusual tree-house for weeks before my dream started to unfold more.

Even so, before my recent discoveries and realizations, another level of my mind had “absentmindedly” even selected a picture for my original “The Bad Witch” entry out of hundreds of others, and which just happened to look similar to the picture from the “Miss Suzy” book that I had not seen since I was a young child. I would have to be pretty foolish to deny my own eyes after I discovered this additional curious event (relevant to the two images in this entry, the photograph being the one from my original dream journal entry - oh sure, they are not that much alike, but close enough to cause me to look twice). One might think that discovery and decoding might inherently take the “magic” out of such things. For me, it just gives me more respect and amazement of the Source and the nature of dreams in general.
