Night of November 8, 1985. Friday.

I seem to be in the southwest area of La Crosse, but possibly near Third Street (as the area is not rendered correctly to where it is entirely familiar). I am riding my bicycle very late at night, probably past midnight. There is an unusual mist with a sort of eerie glow here and there. As far as I can tell, there are no other people around anywhere. I am enjoying myself and ride faster and faster (even though I cannot see what is ahead of me that well). At one point, I am aware that I am moving very fast through an alley, heading west. Suddenly, I see another vehicle approaching from the north as I am exiting the alley into a more open area that seems adjacent to a small parking lot to the north as well as a nearby intersection. My dream becomes extremely vivid, almost as real as real life in terms of heightened awareness though my lucidity only dawns in the last few seconds.

As I look closely, the vehicle is a small motorcycle with a police officer riding it. I cannot see his eyes because they are covered by a dark sunglasses-like visor on his light-colored helmet. I suddenly slow down so as not to draw his attention with my speed (even though it almost seems like we will collide at first). Even though the scene is very vivid, he and the motorcycle seem scaled down to about half the size they should be. I watch and continue slowly as he continues to head south without seeming to turn his head towards me at any point. Again, I do not realize that I am dreaming regardless of the impossible size orientation and otherwise feeling “fully conscious” until just prior to the waking stage immediately after the motorcycle had passed perpendicularly to my location.

For Christmas when I was a young teenager, my father had bought a remote control police motorcycle with the officer on it even though I was probably a bit old for such toys. This is probably important in context here.
