Morning of March 20, 2015. Friday.

I am in the backyard of the house on Loomis Street (where I have not lived since the first part of February 1994). It seems to be about an hour before sunrise at one point though the overall timing is not quite clear. My older sister Marilyn is also there.

Nearly the entire yard is filled with a garden of short plants with medium-sized yellow carnation-like flowers (possibly marigolds but entirely yellow). These flower heads stand out over other aspects of the imagery. After several minutes pass, I am aware of a swarm of bees in the area. The bees are strongly attracted to these yellow flowers but may also pose a threat to my well-being as I feel we may be eventually stung by many of them.

Even though I am not lucid, my dream-self takes on the assertive and willful self-directing presence common in my dreams when facing the slightest threat. I now have some sort of in-dream ability to control air currents. I move my hands about until all the bees are forced to form a circle within a whirlwind-like form about twelve feet from the ground and about six feet in diameter - the circle turning counterclockwise (possibly related to the idea of turning back time in that time “stings” or wounds). I am even able to regard individual bees still on a flower and bring them into this circle by manipulating air currents and creating wind with extreme precision. I am mostly using my right hand and moving my index finger in a counterclockwise circular fashion while vertical. I get a subtle impression of using a lariat (though mostly only in metaphor). The bees form this “lariat” and the part that is usually otherwise held to direct the motions of the lasso form is invisibly “held” by my moving finger.

Now that I know that I cannot be stung by any of these bees (or my sister either) I begin to contemplate how honey may benefit people. I allow some of the bees to move down through tunnel-like air currents and gather nectar from the flowers while keeping the majority in the rotating circle near the house.
